Rojak Mee Ayam- RM13呃。。 ♡♡KC continue reading

Went there for breakfast with my friend. It was my first visit there. Finding a parking here is so difficult. After turning around the place about 3-4 times, I finally found a place opposite the mosque at a lower price of rm 1.10 per hour on a weekend. The Kemamam coffee is quite alright and the most comforting part is that it was not overly sweet like most Malaysian kopitiam ones. The Muar coffee was not much different from the Kemamam one except more dilute. The nasi lemak with rendang chicken is just ok. The kangkung is a nice compliment and unique. The sambal was too sweet and I found the one at Seaview coffee shop to be better, richer and cheaper at only rm5 while this costs rm14.My friend said the prawn mee was horrible but I could judge it since I did not taste it. continue reading

Chawan has proven that it's here to stay, attracting a consistent crowd despite the proliferation of modern kopitiams in this area. Ubi kayu rebus with sambal tumis and kelapa parut. I've loved tapioca since childhood, but haven't had much of it in recent years. This was a starchy pleasure, similar to how my grandmother used to prepare it as a teatime treat. Pisang nangka kukus. A healthy alternative to nasi dagang and other oil-laden options. Kopi Tanjung Malim (Perak) milk shake & cold Sumatran Kopi Kapal Api. Hot Kopi Kemaman (Terengganu). Ice-blended Kopi Tenom from Sabah. continue reading

Fried bananas have always been one of my favourite childhood snacks where I would run to the friendly uncle and purchase the piping hot fruit. Feeling a little peckish, I ordered a plate of fried bananas at chawan. The fried bananas were served on a banana leaf and they had a golden brownish complexion. The bananas were not really fresh though as some were hard while other had soft bits in it. continue reading
