It is located at Sri Petaling and near to the workshops. We parked the car near Baskin Robin (another street from Maiu) because the parking slots in front of Maiu were fully occupied.
It is usually fully seats during weekdays or weekends. So, we booked few days before visited here.
The food is served upon ordered.

Kaki Tofu Fried
Tofu is deep fried and served with mayonnaise and sprinkle of chopped onion. The softness of the tofu was just right and a little sweet.
For tofu lover, this is one of the best dishes ever!! *recommended*

P/S: I’m a tofu lover! *yay!*

Sashimi : Salmon Sashimi, Shiro Maguro Sashimi, Maguro Sushi
Here it is the UNLIMITED free flow of SASHIMI!
I personality think that this salmon sashimi is much better than the one I had in Jogoya. The salmon was thick and still fresh when served.

Salmon Shioyaki

The salmon cooked was tender and fresh. I applied some lemon on top of the fish which make it more delicious.

It’s definitely an affordable place to dine-in for unlimited ala carte style.
One of the best Japanese Ala Carte Buffet ever!! *recommended*
Apart from the buffet, they also do serve bento and other menu set in normal price.

If you go alone....you cant try much unless you have a very big tummy

The price here is quite reasonable...included service charge is just RM48 per head..Child below 95cm is FREE

The only problem here is...not many tables available but I noticed that they are now having upper floor ..so ...the problem is solved

Service is quite FAST...and food is tasty... but the menu....should be improved...the customers like me will not be able to understand the names..we can just order "blindly" which is not a good experience

Ladies&gentlemen...Have a nice day

I'm not really a big fan of sashimi as I have had bad experience with bad sashimi which gave me diarrhea. The sashimi served here was thick with bits of fat still attached to the raw salmon. The sashimi tasted fresh to me and texture wise it went down the throat quite smoothly.

I was looking forward to try it out as i'm a big Japanese food fans.

Friends was planning a surprises birthday gathering for me at MAIU. I was happy and excited as at last I got chance to try it out. However, we are all disappointed with it.

Environment :
a bit pack. too many tables & chairs in a small restaurant.

Food:
Unlimited order from menu. Food not as that fresh. Overall, none of the dish here able to impressed us nor we able to give it a thumb. The only things that we repeat ordering is the green tea and ice-cream.

Guess here is only for those for looks for quantity > quality. Don't think we will go back again.
Well, afterall is your choice if you still wish to have a try

(Perhaps the main chef was absence on that day?

so i just had to give it a try..off we went to maiu japanese restaurant in sri petaling.it is abit difficult to locate if you are not familiar with the area.

luckily my friend drove us and he has been to this restaurant so many times,he can drive there with his eyes closed.
oh yes,we need to make a reservation before going.

so when we got there, our table was ready and they gave us a menu which we had to write down how many of each dish we wanted.i think its called ala carte buffet style.

so we ordered and the food came dish by dish..here are the pictures!

this is the sashimi boat....by far one of the best sashimi i have had in a a buffet.
we were so happy when it arrived because we were looking forward to it the whole time.
the moment when u put the piece of salmon or tuna or butter fish in your mouth,it tasted so fresh and i thought my salmon melted away as soon as i bit it...

leaning tower of ice-cream bowls!
i didn't fancy the wasabi ice-cream but the chocolate and green tea ice creams were so delicious..we just couldnt stop eating it.

if i were asked to recommend a japanese buffet restaurant,i would pick this over others any time not only for its phenomenal quality of food but also its really affordable price and not to mention the awesome service we get there....

Many people might not know this, but I'm actually a Japanese food enthusiast. Yes, including the raw sushi, minus the wasabi Today, let me introduce you to a Japanese buffet which you can get for <RM50, which is a steal, in my humble opinion. The interior design, with bottles of sake displayed on the wall. The menu has a variety of stuff, but if I'm not mistaken sake has to be ordered separately.

We got down to ordering stuff, and apart from the green tea, sashimi was definitely on the list. Unlike some places I've been to, sashimi is unlimited, and they have a selection of salmon (my fav!), tuna, octopus etc. The sashimi was fresh and delicious, and I kept ordering more

Kakiage(if I'm not mistaken, thats what fried stuff is called). Or is it tempura Nontheless, a variety of fried vegetable with the accompanying sauce. Crispy, tasty.

Temaki (handrolls), and fried tofu. The fried tofu is super delicious. They even have fillings in the middle of the tofu, which was soft inside and crispy outside. You should also try ordering their fried soft shell crab, which was also awesome!

Green tea and wasabi ice cream. I warn you, the wasabi ice-cream tastes just like wasabi!! minus the stingy sensation that saturates your nose. But it has the wasabi aftertaste. So if you like wasabi (and even if you don't), you should try it at least once...

As for the traditional ones, chocolate ice cream is also available to please your ice-cream cravings. Again, ice- cream is unlimited. You just have to keep on ordering

overall bill was around RM44/pax or so after tax, which is pretty reasonable given the quality. If you're a fan of jap buffets, its worth a try. It may not have as many choices as jogoya etc, but the quality of the food is equal, if not better.
