Uncle Jang, I finally have the chance to eat here. But it is quite disappointing. Indeed, it brings a nice korean food to Malaysia and its taste is 80% similar to the one I have in Korea. It is quite oily and the ventilation system in the shop is Super Bad. I became so smelly after having my dinner there. Perhaps it is too spicy for me as well.

This was the very first time I tried out dakgalbi because i usually don't fancy stir fried chicken. Plus there were so much vegetables in this. Totally not my type of food. When the waiter cooked it on a big flat pan right in front of us, the aroma was so tempting as the combination of vegetables, sauces and meat was fried together. After 5 minutes, he was done and we were asked to give it a try. We decided to add rice and ddeokboki (rice cake) and they added it in after we finished half of the initial portion. Although it was a tad bit oily, it was bursting with flavours and would probably be my favourite Korean dish from now on.

The raw peeled onion was served with soy sauce (ganjang). And I was quickly reminded of those that you put inside your claypot chicken rice. Pretty much the same taste. It actually adds more flavor into your other dishes if you eat it along. Just bear in mind though, it was more of pickled onion compared to super raw onion. The pungent smell was even gone because of the soy sauce probably.

The chilli dip was pretty decent, but it was a bit too sour to my liking. However if you were to mix it into the main dish, dakgalbi, it would add more flavour to your food. While the garlic looks so raw and weird, it is actually a side dish eaten by Koreans frequently. I am still trying to get accustomed to it as a side dish, i guess it is an acquired taste in the end.

Oh, i absolutely love this kimchi! It's so spicy, unlike those that i make at home because my tolerance to spicy food is pretty mediocre. But, this was so spicy till it was good. It isn't too sour like others and it's just nice. You could literally taste the sweetness of the kimchi and i guess it is fermented well. Flavorful, such a good side dish! We had four servings of this, yes, i know, it was that yummy!

这里只有一个Menu叫Dak Galbi,所以不用伤脑筋点美食。另加Udon和饭各一份供稍后炒就行了。要加肉也有。它们的鸡肉都是来自鸡肉的油,没有另加油,加上UDON面后,会更好。但看起来油亮,部分是因为韩国辣椒甜酱的色泽。个人消费只是RM20~RM25而已,很公道。喜欢吃韩国餐的朋友们可以来试试。

korean food is good to have when you are looking for healthy food. their korean cuisines although spicy, but still felt more healthy dishes then other asian food. try the dak Galbi which is a popular South Korean dish where marinated chicken are to be cooked in chili pepper sauce together with cabbage, sweet potato,lots of onions and the served in a hot plate. i choose for little spicy one and the taste is good

uncle jang korean restaurant have few outlets and i came to know this place have outlet in solaris mont kiara. order the dakgyetang (kimchi chicken soup with rice) , quite tasty and spicy enough of the kimchi and portion is big for my lunch is really filling. comes together as usual in korean cuisines is the complimentary condiments, cabbages, kim chi and pickled onions.
