There was one day where all I could think about throughout the entire day was salted egg yol crab. Coincidentally my mom was in a good mood and was at the office, so she decided to go to Pantai Seafood for some good crab. Its her favourite place for seafood and I rarely had a preference, all I wanted was my salted egg yol laden crab. A favourite of my mom's is the stir-fried bee hoon. Actually it is quite good because there's very good 'wok-hei' in this dish plus a lot of ingredients in it too.

We also got two portions of steamed tiger prawns. This is something I enjoy a lot because the crustaceans were alive just moments ago and then taken from the tank, then cooked to our liking. So this means the prawns are super fresh, juicy and succulent. A clear way to tell if it's fresh is when you eat the head and it tastes really good, something I enjoyed more than actually having the flesh.

Finally our order of crab arrived. So the kind we got at Pantai Seafood isn't exactly big in size however it was very fresh as the meat was tender and very sweet, seperates easily from the shell too. I had such a good time devouring this dish down to the very last bits of salted egg yolk. Everyone loved this and was tempted to order another dish of it but we were already full by then.

Still a little obsessed with seafood, we decided to grab some from a restaurant that is well-known for their vast amount of fresh seafood that ranges from the usual to more exotic. Pantai Seafood has been a favourite to visit whenever the mood strikes and also having a need to splurge, or we are being treated to a good dinner by the boss. We ordered half a dozen of freshly shucked oysters. We ordered half a dozen of freshly shucked oysters. This is one of my favourite seafood ever and to have it fresh with nothign more than just a squeeze of lime is absolute bliss. The one that was offered at Pantai was perhaps not as fresh as the ones I had in Sydney, but it was probably quite close and it was rather big in size. The ones that we got were about the size of my hand, from the tips of my fingers down to the start of my wrist.

Although already quite pleased with the raw oysters, mom wanted to try some cheese baked ones so we got three of these. Having had a few bad experiences with cooked or broiled oysters, I was a little apprehensive about these but still tried one. The cheese that was used with I assume a tiny hint of cream was alright and though the oyster was still quite fresh, I do prefer having them raw. As the cheese on top kind of masks the fresh and sweet delicate oyster taste.

We also got some Garlic Steamed Bamboo clams. The ones that I have ordered at order restaurants were rather small in size and this was huge, literally the size of the plate that it was served in. However the price was slightly high for a few of these, I think the succulent meat and taste kind of makes it rather worth it. I only wish we ordered more but by then, I was already quite full from the oysters that were had. 

Although not a place that I would dine at often because of the rather steep prices on their food, it isn't a bad restaurant to have a good seafood dinner. Especially if it is a special occasion or am feeling a little bit greedy and in need of spoiling myself to a good dinner.

Pantai Seafood had been a favourite place to visit for some really good seafood. However it is not often we visit unless there is a special occassion, however when we are there the food usually lives up to the rather steep price tag that it comes with.First we got a plate of stir-fried asparagus in belacan sauce to start. It wasn't amazingly good, but it was not terrible either. Each stalk of asparagus was nice and crunchy without being over-cooked, however the belacan sauce was incredibly weak.

First we got a plate of stir-fried asparagus in belacan sauce to start. It wasn't amazingly good, but it was not terrible either. Each stalk of asparagus was nice and crunchy without being over-cooked, however the belacan sauce was incredibly weak. 

Since we were there for crabs, this was easily overlooked the moment our main course arrived.

Black Pepper Crab was the first choice we got. The crabs were quite large, evident by their shell and also the pincer. Not only was it big in size but the meat was incredibly fresh and succulent, especially when you eat at the body section rather than the pincers. Plus the black pepper sauce had an amazing kick to it without being one dimensional.

This dish was amazing!

Just as I thought the first crab dish was good, this arrives and instantly I ignored the black pepper one. The smell of salted egg yolk was strogn and almost each piece of crab was nicely coated in it generously. Just like the previous dish, the crabs were large in size and also incredibly fresh.

Although the price we're paying is a ltitle high, but for the quality of seafood that we get and the taste I guess it's somewhat worth it. However it will not be an everyday occurence that is for sure.

We had a gathering for some of the colleagues at office. We decided to eat something expensive. After searching everywhere, we decided to come here. The place was teemed with people. We initially wanted to order the table set meal at RM 599 but then thank god we decided against it because not all the set items are what we want. 

The first dish we ordered was the most expensive suckling pig (a baby pig) I have ever eaten. It cost RM 168 and I cannot believe anyone spending so much for a pig! It was just normal to me as I did not like pig. But for the sake of review, I would express and say it is very crispy and had a layer of fat beneath the skin. 

To my disappointment, the Tiger Prawns were too small and not as big as expected. The prawns are just normal and cost RM 47.50! The sauce in which it was cooked was a tad too salty. 

The Fried Kai Lan with fried green leaves was the bestseller and was amazing at only RM 28. It was really delicious and fragrant. 

The steamed slices of red snapper was just normal and cooked in soya sauce. The price was RM 65, too expensive for simple fish. We added RM 10 to deep fry the bones of the fish which turned out to be very crispy and tasty when they served it in some fried white stuff. 

The Fried Vermecelli with Bihun together with seafood was amazing and very well worth the price of only RM 18! There were so much ingredients too. 

The Signature Hor Fun at RM 22 was quite tasty but simple with very little ingredients. There was a small piece of fried stuff on top, something like fake fish maw.

这个蒸鱼其实并没有什么调味,但是因为这条鱼很新鲜的关系,所以味道非常的鲜美。蒸的时间拿捏得很好。吃起来真的很鲜嫩幼滑们所以就连酱汁都有很甜的鱼汁在里头,配饭吃很棒。

Fried beehoon. Since we were not ordering white rice, we ordered this fried beehoon to accompany the dishes. The bee hoon was cooked with chicken slices, prawns, egg and bean sprouts. The beehoon was not too bad, it has some "wok hei" it in. It was not too salty. The prawns were fresh too but slightly small. The beansprouts were crunchy. An above average fried bee hoon.

Spicy Sour Crab. The spicy sour crab is my family favourite dish and they ordered this during the dinner. The dish came with generous amount of spicy sour sauce, almost like a soup portion. The sauce has the taste of spicy and slightly sour but to us, it was not thick enough. It would be better if the sauce is thick. The crab was fresh but quite small though. A slight disappointment.

2 style kailan. Pantai seafood should improve on their food presentation, look at this arrangement of 2 style kailan, it was so messy. The portion was quite small and the kailan chunks were not thick. It was being cut into small portion and not crunchy. The deep fried kailan bits were crispy though. Overall, it was slightly salty, but I was not impressed by this dish.
