Went to Palsaik Korean Bbq Scott Garden on Thursday for dinner before fieldwork and it was one of the worse dining experience all time. Went to Palsaik Korean Bbq Scott Garden on Thursday for dinner before fieldwork and it was one of the worse dining experience all time.

Wanted to order a set for two for three diners as (1) we are small eaters and (2) the third diner have yet to arrive and we are not sure if he is arriving on time as well.

When I tried to order our meal, I was 'politely' denied by the waitress. She 'encouraged' me to order a set for three as she kept saying set for two is very small. So I said, no, we are small eaters and set for two is sufficient. Then this woman kept saying, but this is Korean food, you have three person and you should order set for three... So i said no set for two is sufficient. And then she continued saying 'miss you got eat Korean food before one or not... in Korean restaurant, we go by head count, three people means order portion for three". I felt totally insulted and was made to feel like I was an ignorant diner.

Seriously, I was like no, it goes by minimum order and I am very sure ordering a set that cost RM98++ for two justifies that and told her off and said we will walk out if we are not allowed to order as there was no point dining in a restaurant that just insulted me. I am OK if you tell me it is a company policy. But I am not OK being insulted like that!

Afterwhile, this woman suddenly said "ok la miss, I let you order lo, but you know hor, you cannot like that one... usually is three person order three set for three one... but I allow you to do so la... you know ah, for Korean restaurant, we allow refill one, that is why have to go by headcount".

So without further ado, we decided to order our food and be done with it... When the food arrived, there was only 1 plate of kimchi with no other side dishes... how much does a bloody plate of stupid kimchi cost! How much refills do I get seriously? You think your kimchi that great till I will refill the whole tub mer?!

Never am I going back to this stupid restaurant ever again! Not only it is very very expensive, but the service crew is trained to insult paying customers.
