Akhirnya, tertunailah hasrat di hati untuk singgah di Ikan Bakar Jalan Bellamy, Istana Negara beberapa minggu lepas ketika ambil cuti satu hari temankan Isteri ambil hadiah contest. Tempat ini sememangnya popular di kalangan orang KL kerana menyediakan hidangan Ikan Bakar yang menyelerakan ketika lunch hours dari hari Isnin sehingga Sabtu. Ikan Bakar. We get to choose our fish at the fish counter. This arrangement is good because we get to choose the size that we prefer. The fish was wrapped in banana leaf and being grilled. The marination was chili paste and it was quite spicy. The paste coated the fish very well. The fish was fresh and it was totally nice to dip with the dipping sauce in order to add further spiciness.

Grilled Squid. My colleague picked two pieces of squid for sharing. The squid was indeed a big one. It was grilled nicely with some seasonings. The squid was fresh and I like the softness of it. Somehow or rather, it has just the right amount of springiness too. The saltiness was just right. I can't stop myself from savouring this, it was very delicious, together with the dipping sauce.

Assorted dipping sauces. We were given two types of dipping sauces: green chili and soy sauce with onions. After trying the two sauces, both have its distinctive flavour, but I would prefer the latter. The soy sauce consisted on onions and with some tanginess exerted from the lime. It was thick and salty together with some spiciness. The green chili sauce was slightly normal one and it was spicy.

Ice Longan. Normally I will not order drinks during my lunch meal, but that afternoon, it was hot and this place was quite stuffy. So, I ordered the ice longan. Ice longan was served not long after. It was in a tall glass. Although it was filled with ice cubes, I can still taste the sweetness of the longan drink. The longan was quite nice to chew. It was a cooling drink.

Mixed rice with vegetables. After choosing the type of fish to be grilled, we proceeded to the mix rice counter to take our food. I simmered some curry on to my white rice to moisten it up. Then I chose stir fried assorted vegetables. This vegetable consisted of lettuce, cabbage, long bean and carrots. The assorted vegetables were quite bland, so I had to eat with curry.
