Gangnam station at Shah Alam is quite a far place from my house but i went there anyway to see my friends from Kedah. She stayed for few nights before she fly back to Kedah. So we when here for dinner which have different type of set to be choose from. We ordered RM60 set to be shared by 4 people. It gives you chicken, some noodles (different types) and some vegie. The soup paste is not my favourite at all! too sour but my friends liked it. Maybe not my type of food as i prefer Johny's for steam

The choices of drinks is also very little as they mostly have can drinks to choose from. The music are boring as they did not play any korean song and they put running man on tv but no sound, lol. I told my friend that this is my first and last for this restaurant, sorry my friend luckily you stay in Kedah

We chatted all night afterwards after 2 years apart.

Overall: not my type of food, not so good environment

The drinks is actually pretty refreshing and thirst-quenching indeed. It’s made of rice grain that is boiled together with some ginger I suppose. That explains why we could taste some ginger-like flavor in the drink. As for the rice grains, the whitish beads is actually quite bland or nearly tasteless as I believe they have been soaked in the ginger concoction for some time, thus allowing sufficient time for them to blend with it as one. I think the color difference is due to the types of rice grain used.

These drinks will surely do good by helping to cool off your body a bit, especially after having a feast of hot spicy pot. But I still prefer the freshly made one by Oiso Restaurant for the taste is more concentrated and fragrant than the commercially produced canister.

BibimpapAnother synonym Korean staple fare is Bibimbap. The rice is served in a hot bowl and topped with some sautéed and seasoned vegetables, chili pepper paste, raw egg and chicken slices. To make the dish smoother, a raw egg is added on the top and is meant to be cooked together with the rest of the ingredients when mixing them. BanchanAnyway, the Korean side dishes served here are still decently nice and presentable. There are Broccoli with gochujang paste, anchovies with nuts, spinach, cockles, slices of sausages and not to be missed, Kimchi. The broccoli is quite crisp and it’s bit unique with the gochujang paste as the dipping, which usually used as sauce for bibimbap. The taste is bit strong if eaten that way. Somehow, I find the sausage slices bit funny as it’s bit salivary and soft, akin to steamed ham. Hmm…..

Kimchi SteamboatIt’s a Korean soup dish with kimchi, vegetables and chicken breast boiled together in the big pot. The steamboat is big, with assorted ingredients like Dumpling, scallions, bean curds, enoki mushroom, Kimchi and many more. It is meant to be Kimchi steamboat, so the soup base is bit piquant but not too spicy. Actually I expect a more authentic Korean fare. For instance, they could have used Korean Manduk instead of replacing with local dumpling. The dumpling actually pretty normal

This Gangnam-themed restaurant reminds me of my stay in Korea last year. The eatery has a cosy and neat interior décor, with several scenic views of Korea paintings hanging on the wall to spice up the environment. They serve halal Korean cuisine, so our Malay friend could also enjoy their meal over here too.

Kelps soup; a prelude dish to warm up our tummy first, but it's tad salty to me.
