Barley with Gingko Nuts Hot Rm 3.40

serving hot, smooth and think with soya bean taste, but not too sweet. I guess this restaurant simply know what kind of taste to suit Malaysian. I don't like it if it is too sweet.

FOrgot the name Rm 6.90
I didnt get to drink this as it is cold, and I have my monthly problems on the day.

However, the serving time this round is longer than usual. Usually, it took about 5-10mins to serve. this time it is 20 mins. Perhaps this happen during holiday, travelling season I assume.

Price wise, it is standard, worth the price, but my family members, esp my siblings can't accept the way I said it is standard price. TO them, the price of having dessert is equipvalent to heavy meal already.
Other Info. : GST is excluded from the price. Always crowded with people, unless not during paek hour.

Peanut Butter花生糊 Rm 3.40
Nice when serving hot, and the colour is so peanut, I actually feel weird saw its colour, looking very thick, look just like butter jam, but well, when I taste it, the taste is just nice, sweet and the thickness just like sesame loh.

Porridge皮蛋瘦肉粥 Rm 4.30
conventionally delicious, and I like it serving hot! Small portion like the portion during dim sum. Fulfilling for me cause I actually a bit tired to eat just now. Fried Rice with ChAshu 叉烧炒饭 Rm 12.80

THis is the reason my bf rated it 9/10, I even put 3 pics of this. First, the portion is big enough and fulfilling. Then, it's tastly, the chaxiu look like bacon is succulent, when balanced ratio of oil and protein tissue, you will craved for more!

We ordered the Dried Shrimp Chee Cheong Fan (RM 6) which turned out to be a disappointment as the chee cheong fan was rubbery and the flour mix was not made properly or not folder neatly so there were many folds. I could not finish the dish.

Our main dish was the Szechuan Noodles which was not spicy enough probably because I did not pour all the chilli oil inside as it looks too oily. There were small pieces of pork and also some shanghai pickled vegetables. The ingredients were very little yet the price is quite high at RM 7.90.

In order to save money, we ordered and shared a cup of waterchestnut drink which was quite cooling.

In the past, as in early this year, I always passed by this cafe and always could not find the way there which is weird! There are always so many customers there so one day, I threw caution into the wind and just thought, perhaps something would come out of me if I patient in waiting for food because if so many wait, it must be great. And I got in after queuing for a while. It was even a date for me with Fried Snack Food. Since I work till late, I am always on the look out for places that open till late yet sell small snacks as it is unhealthy to eat really heavy meals at this hour. So my first meal there was the baby bake crab (or fried? as it seemed to be fried). This is something not found in most cafes except restaurants and buffets, hence unique.

Although I saw many people ordering the flavoured snow ice, it was not that special to me, just a heap of ice that makes your mouth very cold.

The sweet tong sui such as the Honeydew with Gingko tong sui was incredible with honeydew balls! It was tasty even when eaten hot!

The Pork Rib Szechuan Ramen was very flavourful and worth trying if you can stand it having very little ingredients despite the high charges.

The mango fried snack was a no-no as they once served it to me with a strand of hair inside which made me fed up and not visit the cafe for a very long time till I came again tonight with my colleague as I did not know K.T.Z. meant Kee Tak Sek because when she invited me to go to Kee Tak Sek, little did I know she referred to K.T.Z.

The herbal jelly iced-blended was also quite special except that I left half my cup there and the waiter once took it away, causing me a tinge of sadness in the car.

Tonight I discovered the Hang Chee Pang is quite special as it came in a flat piece instead of the round type commonly sold by hawkers.

The loh mai kai is just so-so but the big mushroom and also chicken drumstick were great. The rice was also very soft.

There is one catch though. The price of the food here is quite pricey unless you come to share with friends.

The ingredients they put include brinjal, lady finger, bean curd, and chicken. Nothing much to praise for the service here, moderate service provided by the waiters i guess and you need to pay at the counter. Overall, I am satisfy with my food there.

Red Bean Soup. The restaurant was very packed during dinner hours and we were seated at the corridor. The service was not too bad though as our order was taken very fast. It was just the environment not too conducive. The red bean soup was not the mashed type, the red beans are still many and obvious in it. The soup was not too thick, a bit diluted I would say. It was sweet.

Mango Sago Ice. When the mango sago ice arrived, I notice how the portion has shrunk compared to few years ago. The bowl was quite small and the ice does not stacked as high as a mountain. There were pieces of mango arranged neatly around the shave ice. The mango was soft and sweet. There were quite a lot of sago in the shaved ice. Overall, it was not too sweet, just nice.

Ham Roll. Since we went to KTZ for dinner, we ordered quite a number of food apart from the dessert. One of this interesting ones was Ham Roll. This ham roll contained ham, egg and seaweed wrapped in a roll and it made a few beautiful layers when cut apart. The taste was slightly salty due to the ham and the seaweed. Overall, it was an unique dish but nothing so special about it.

I had some nosh here, a Soew Ball that cost me Rm4.80. When it serve, the dish it is quite disappoint me as the portion is very very small. It is a small little deep- fried meat ball and cut into pieces. It takes time to prepare the seow ball as we waited for 10-15 minutes for the food to serve. Anyhow, for the taste, the soew ball is nice as it is stuff with lots of minced meat and vegetables. A unique snacks to have. The dishes is quite special and worth to try.
