It was a Saturday morning. and what draw us here is the amount of crowd. The amount of people was too much, not only several tables were lining up on the roadside, some of the big group still have to wait, and it has first floor space for dining too.

Nom Nom Nom Nom Nom~~~ Since there was too much people at the ground floor, we were placed at the first floor. I feel like eating at the ground floor is better, because you get to eat the fresh from overn food, like the first floor.

The waiter will come with a huge palate of dim sum for you to choose. Which it might not be the entire range of food. =(

Their pan fried raddish cake, sesame ball were all perfectly make. Though it's fresh from oven. Serving hot as well. Aubergine stuff with fish cake.

I am a porridge person, their porridge were not bad too. With salted egg , century egg, minced pork and other. Their rice is boil to real smooth texture. Remind me the rich and mushy porridge from KTZ in SS2 as well.

It's enjoying to have a chill Longan Tou Fu Fa while having hot dim sum as well. This dessert is pleasantly sweet, available at Rm 3.80 per bowl. Now, there is another choice of place for breakfast in PJ area. Definitely , I will not come here alone. Perhaps going with a brunch of friends? And this restaurant open until 2.30pm (3.30pm on Sat & Sun), so it's a good news even if you wake up late too. Came even make a lunch here.

Today is Sunday and we wanted to look for a dim sum place near ss2 and my friend brought me here. The place was teeming with people eating dim sum breakfast.

The dim sum skin is quite ok and soft enough, unlike the rest of the dim sum kopitiams I have tried even the ones in Sri Petaling. Amazingly, I like the Har Kau and also Seaweed dim sum. The Har Kau has prawns that are big enough.

I liked the Taiwanese Sausage dim sum with a lot of chopped mushroom and carrots in the feeling. The presentation is pretty and creative.

I ordered the Prawn Chee Cheong Fan but was a bit disappointed with it. The flour roll is ok but the problem lies in the prawns which were not sliced or cut into smaller pieces before wrapping it.

Finally, on my way to the toilet, I spotted the chicken legs, which I have longed to eat ever since I set eyes on it earlier but did not take it as my friend did not eat this. So I ordered it to satisfy myself. Totally amazing chicken legs.

The whole bill including tea cost only less than RM 30 and was well-worth the tastiness. It is even better than eating at fancy dim sum cafes nearby where the skin of the dim sum could not stick to the meat.

One thing is make sure you are prepared to wait if you were to eat here as the waiters take a long time to bring the dim sum to you unless you walk to the dim sum steamers and do it self-service.

Because dim sum is not popular during tea time, I recommend them not serving pass lunch hour while that ensures quality in their dimsum. When looking at the tray of steamed dumpling, everything looks unattractive. May I suggest better quality control ? Take a look at the range of dimsum...not too attractive huh?

Although not great, the Loong Seng Dim Sum manages to preserve very old school coffee shop ambience while they retain very emblematic tables and chairs in typical coffee shops. Harkao (Shrimp Dumpling) was lousy with the steaming timing or they might have left it too long to be kept warm inside the steaming tray. The thick skin was almost close to mushy and was destroyed almost the very instant when the chopstick picks it.

So I confessed that I was not intentionally planned to review this restaurant but I always believe something rewarding would come your way when willing to explore. Those painting on the wall are like a walk down the memory lane back to the early 80s. The Siew Mai has more fat parts of pork than the lean ones. For those who like minced pork with more chewy texture, this would be lovely for them.

Deep fried "bird nest". Loong Seng offers a lot of varieties of dim sum as well as the deep fried stuffs. One of the deep fried stuff is this "bird nest" as they called it. It was wrapped with thinly shreds and it was extremely crispy. I did not feel the oiliness at all when I ate this whole crispy stuff. It was slightly salty, but it was fine for me. Not a bad creation though.

Chicken Feet. Loong Seng is the busiest dim sum restaurant in ss2 area and the tables are arranged at the road side and along the corridor. Since it was peak hour in the morning, we managed to find a table at the corridor. Service was attentive no doubt. The chicken feet has some spicy taste due to the chilli added. It was slightly sweet and the chicken feet was soft.

Fried prawn dumpling ("har kok"). The fried prawn dumpling is our favourite and we would ordered it every time we patron a dim sum restaurant. Loong Seng's version has solid prawn meat in it together with minced fish paste. The prawns were succulent and crunchy. The skin was soft, sticky and at the same time it was crispy. The mayonnaise gave the dumpling a sweeter taste.

Fried Loh Bak Gou. The fried loh bak gou came in 3 pieces, it was not too big. The color of it showed that it was not being deep fried at a longer time as it was slightly lighter in color. Only the golden brown edges were crispy. The middle parts were soft and aromatic with loh bak taste. Not too oily I would say despite being deep fried. This was not too salty, just nice.

Wu Kok. The wu kok has always been my favourite fried item in a dim sum meal. That day, I tried Loong Seng version. The skin was not deep fried till golden brown, it was slightly lighter in color. Due to this, it was slightly crispy only instead of very crispy. The inner fillings of char siew and its gravy was sweet, just nice, moist. The yam layer was soft too. Overall, good.

Chee cheong fun with prawns. The chee cheong fun was cut and placed nicely, topped with chili paste and spring onions. The chee cheong fun was slightly thick and wrapped the prawns nicely. It was too much of chee cheong fun, as it was bland, I had to dip with a lot of soy sauce and chili taste to give it some taste. The prawns were fresh and succulent. It was not a bad dish.

Egg tart. Although the egg tart does not looked appealing, I went ahead and took it anyway, thinking of trying it. Well, I was a bit regretted as this egg tart was totally out of the standard. The pastry was not the fluffy type, it was just a flour being baked as a cup, not crispy. The egg fillings were smooth but not soft as the good ones. I do not like this egg tart at all.

Longan Tau Fu Fa. After indulging a heavy dim sum meal, I ordered a bowl of dessert - longan tau fu fa. This was a simple dish, few scoops of tau fu fa and a few pieces of longans. The tau fu fa was smooth and soft. It was not heavy with soya taste, yet it was cooling. The longan was fresh and sweet. Overall, this dessert was not overly sweet, it was just a light dessert to balance up the meal.

The mushroom dumplings shaped like a half-moon and was quite big pieces. One saucer plate could barely whole three pieces of them. The yellow skin was translucent but the edges were a bit hard and dry. The inner fillings were good though, it has minced meat and mushroom pieces. It was slightly salty and I balanced up with sweet sauce. The fillings were springy and moist.

Loong Seng serves quite a number of dim sum types that couldnt find in other restaurant, and crab dumpling is one of it. Although it looks normal but I seldom come across this dim sum. This crab dumpling shaped like fish ball but with a rougher texture. It has pieces of crab stick around the whole dumpling. It was quite sweet and springy, slightly loose and soft in texture.
