one of my very favourite chinese restaurant in shopping malls. Super love their thick porridge and had the sliced fish and also the pork balls combination. usually comes with fried crullers and spring onion on top.  the fragrant flower tea was light and comforting for a rainy night. and also the Flat Noodles in Egg Gravy (Wat Tan Hor) was great too! wished that they added more fried meehoon instead. nevertheless, satisfying Hong Kong style food.

For a friend's birthday, we decided on splurging on some good Chinese good. The one place that caught our attention is Canton-i which we hadn't eaten at for years. To share we got a platter of Char Siew & Siew Yuk. These were not at all disappointing because the char siew was nicely sweet, the edges charred just nice and the meat was also very tender. Almost as if it immediately melted on your tongue.

Whereas the Siew Yuk was different but equally good. The layer of skin was perfectly crunchy while having the right amount of salt while the meat was juicy. There's a nice layer of fat in between each layer of meat but it wasn't too much that I had to spit out most of it. This, I had a lot of.

Just to counteract how guilty we felt for indulging in so much meat, we got the stir-fried lotus root with cashews. This was my favourite dish because I like the vegetable is one thing but then the way that Canton I does it just makes it so much better. If we were not already quite full then I would have suggested to order a second helping of this.

Their signature is their wanton noodles and this time around, I tried the Signature wanton noodles with jumbo prawn wanton in soup which is reasonably priced at RM 13.80 given the amount of prawns and other ingredients in the noodle. The prawns happened to be quite fresh too."

Canton-I is one of those chinese restaurant I really like visiting whenever I feel like eating chinese meals in malls. After the main course char siew pork noodle, we have our desserts as we are the dessert lover!! We have ordered Mango, Longan and Dragon Fruits dessert. Oh my god!! So great in taste and is awesome!! The milky white part is not too sweet and delicious!!Another dessert we ordered was Cincau + Red Beans dessert! Milk being pour on top to create more flavour here! Red bean were big in pieces unlike the usual small red beans. Overall not bad, very good taste of dessert and good environment here.

Fried whitebait. We always see long queue whenever we pass by this Canton-i. So one late morning, we wanted to try, and saw that it does not have any queue, we proceeded in. Besides the noodles and rice dishes, we ordered this appetizer - fried whitebait for sharing. It was baby fishes being deep fried. They were crispy and I did not feel oily after eating it. It made up a good snack.

more serving on the dim sum range that attracts me. also the famous duck and goose range here. can choose to order with rice or noodle. i try the roasted pork and bbq pork rice. very crispy pork skin, love the taste and the sauce, fresh and also the fragrant rice. simply awesome and delicious. try the famous egg tart. very smooth pastries, the egg tart is fresh , although small portion but taste really good.
