I have always loved street food, and one of my favorite street food would be the apam balik. There are different styles of making them, some uncle put in corn some don't. Some used a thicker batter, while others is crispier. But my favourite would be from Petaling Street, where the uncle is very generous with the corn. He also makes the apam fluffy and crispy at the sides, just the way I like it.

If you have been to the Petaling Street area, you'll find a couple of stalls selling roasted chestnuts. You can pretty much smell the chestnuts before you reach the actual stall. These chestnuts are very famously shown in Hong Kong TVB dramas and standing right next to the stall, does feel very nostalgic. The chestnuts itself are nice to eat, with hint of roastedness, but the whole atmosphere and the smell of the roasted chestnuts, that's even more amazing.

I don't know the history of the mochi that this aunty was selling but one thing that I do know is that it is so good. So are most of the food along Jalan Petaling. The mochi comes in a variety of flavours, and coated generously with peanuts. If you're feeling adventurous you can try the other flavours. But I'm old school, so I tried the flavours that I am familiar with.

This is the petaling street rice roll at petaling street. They're famous with their rice roll. Here comes our rice roll or normally we called it "zhu chang fen".This is really nice. The rice roll itself is so soft just like eating some kuey tiao. The sauce is not too salty, with a little bit of sweetness and spicy. This is so tasty. They're so famous until being featured in tv.
