For me, I got the Dried Wanton Noodles with Char Siew. A little more expensive than those you can usually get at a local coffee shop, however I think there is a good reason for that. The noodles were nice and al-dente mixed with a very good flavoured sauce.

Then the char siew was so so so so so amazing plus there's a bigger portion of it than what we can usually get elsewhere without ordering an extra plate. This was so good that we ordered another plate of it just to share. For mom, she got the same dried noodles except she got roasted duck instead. This was also a good choice because the meat was nice and juicy without being overly dry. Plus the skin is nicely crisp without a too much fat. So having this with the dried al-dente noodles was quite satisfying.

We would most definitely be back to try other things from the menu. The one that we are looking forward to the most is the wantons which we left out because we would rather have an extra plate of noodles with char siew instead.

Me and colleagues have lunch at Village Roast Duck Restaurant in Bangsar Village 1.
This is the first time we went there.
We have ordered 5 dishes which includes crispy duck roll, nasi pulut, half roasted duck, kuih lobak and dumpling soup.
It comes in small dishes but the appearance is nice.
The crispy duck roll is our favourite, it is crispy with duck meat and some vegetables wrapped inside.
The nasi pulut contains small prawn, scallops, sotong, mushroon and eggs, thus it is full of ingredients which is worth for its price.
The roasted duck is best to eat with its sauce, the skin is crispy and it is fats layer is thin.

Overall, all the dishes is nice and i would rate it 4 over 5.

A fresh option for Chinese food at Bangsar Village. This brightly lit outlet features friendly service, but the menu isn't especially exciting and prices seem arbitrary. BBQ combo of char siew, roast duck & siu yoke. Rather expensive at 38 ringgit, considering the relatively paltry portion. Everything tasted tender and flavorsome enough, but there are more memorable versions elsewhere. King prawns with pumpkin sauce (36 ringgit). Plump and reasonably fresh, but strangely greasy. King prawns with pumpkin sauce (36 ringgit). Plump and reasonably fresh, but strangely greasy. Any sweet flavor from the pumpkin sauce was almost indiscernible.

Crispy aromatic duck with pancakes. Much more logically priced at 18 ringgit. A worthwhile option; the shredded duck was meaty and well-marinated. Tasted terrific with the thin, steaming-hot pancakes, hoisin sauce & cucumbers.

Hokkien mee (RM26.80). Contained the essential ingredients, including pork liver & crunchy lard. But completely lacking in "wok hei." Also too puny for the price.

Halfway through dinner we decided we still had space for more food, so we settled on some Crispy Aromatic Duck with Pancakes (RM 18.80)! For those who are unfamiliar, crispy aromatic duck consists of duck meat that is stripped off the bone, spring onions and cucumbers that are also cut up into strips, and a flat pancake to roll everything in! There is also sweet sauce provided to spread on the pancake, an absolute necessity for this dish. Spread the sauce on the pancake like butter on bread, allocate your personal ratio of duck:cucumber:spring onion (my percentage is 75:25:0.. =P), roll it up like popiah and pop into mouth! A delightful and filling dish that is usually had before the main meal, but we did things a bit differently this time. =P

We also had a a dish of Fried Rice, but this was hardly remarkable. A shame really, considering the high price it cost, it certainly wasn't justified with the morsels of seafood inside. If ever you visit this restaurant, give this a miss and just go for white rice. Save $$ and have a better time mixing white rice with lots of duck sauce. =D Since our first visit, we have never ordered the fried rice again.

And of course, their Special Boneless Roast Duck (RM 34 for half a duck)! Prices of duck at Village Roast Duck aren't cheap by any standards, which is understandable considering the location. Is it worth it? I think it's definitely worth a try! The meat is tender, and the skin is undeniably, unhealthily good. There's a lot of sauce in the picture and yes, that's how it is in real life too. Definitely good for those who like lots of sauce with their duck rice! Finally, good quality duck that can

To balance out all the duck we were having, we had the Peking Spare Ribs (RM 22.80) too. These were quite good; Wendy detected some fruity hints in the rib glaze so it was on the sweet side as expected. The meat wasn't chosen very well though; some had lots of meat while other pieces were mostly bone. Overall, another okay dish to have. Recommended if anyone is particularly craving spare ribs / pork!

Village Roast Duck also serves some claypot brinjals. Brinjals are undoubtedly one of Wendy's favourite vegetables so if there's one that looks good we usually have it it! I found this Braised Aubergine with Minced Pork in Hot Pot (RM 16.80) just okay though because the brinjals were a bit too soft and the sauce was a bit too sweet. Nothing to really complain about this, but I can't rave about it either. You can get better versions elsewhere.

Coming up next, was the Stir Fried String Bean with Minced Pork (RM 18.80). Juicy string beans, fried well with a good amount of 'wok hei'. Not too spicy, so this was a crowd-pleaser all round the table of 4. =D Since our first visit there, this has become a regular staple of ours every time we re-visit Village Roast Duck, so it's definitely something we recommend!
