this is a plain roast chicken dishit is a whole chicken where the head is also platedthe roast chicken is marinated very well and although there was no gravy, the chicken meat still tasted moist and tenderthe restaurant did give a thick transparent sweet dipping sauce but i thought it would have come with the salt and pepper dip as well

Spinach in superior soup. I wanted to have some soup that night, so I ordered the spinach in superior soup. In came in a flat plate. The spinach was also cooked with century eggs and some anchovies. The soup was not too sweet with some saltiness from the anchovies. It was quite delicious to drink. The spinach was soft. Overall, it was not a bad dish but nothing so special about it either.

Claypot Cordyceps Yu Piu Chicken. Kampung chicken was used for this dish, thus the tough meat texture and it does not have a lot of meaty parts. There were strands of cordyceps being used in this cooking together with yu piu. The yu pie was soft and absorbed the sauce nicely. I like the cordyceps strands too. The gravy has the right saltiness but I just do not like the taste.

Pumpkin Pork Ribs. This is a specialty dish from this Extra Super Tanker. The pork ribs were being filled inside a pumpkin. At first, we scoop the pork ribs and ate it, it was sweet actually due to the pumpkin. The pork ribs were not too tender. The taste was fine. After finishing the pork ribs, the Captain came and cut opened the pumpkin for us. The pumpkin was extremely sweet with the taste of gravy from the pork ribs.

Thousand layer beancurd. The beancurd was quite big and tall. When we split it opened, it showed two layer of fish paste in between the beancurd, thus the name of “thousand layer”. The beancurd was topped with deep fried onions and spring onions that were very aromatic. The beancurd was soft and smooth. Stirred fried “Qing Long” vegetables. We ordered the spinach in superior soup but they ran out of spinach that night. When we were struggling on what vegetables to order, the captain suggested “Qing Long” vegetables that we agreed immediately as not many restaurants offers this vege. The vege was fresh and soft. Boston Lobster. We ordered half a lobster and it came with some gravy. The lobster meat was very springy. The egg batter was quite qing, it was not too diluted. It was slightly sticky and not too salty. The lobster was quite meaty too. However, we noticed that the meat in the legs of the lobster was missing, we wondered why. Overall, my whole family enjoyed this Boston lobster as compared to the soft Boston Lobster served in Ah Yat Abalone.
