Being a chinese, I grew up in an environment where I have to dine in when the dishes are serves hot to avoid being nag and scold. The cold soba is something new to me where I had my first chilled japanese thin noodle. It wasn't bad in my opinion but the soba itself is quite tasteless despite having a smooth texture. The crunch and chill taste is a perfect combination I must say.
