I’m glad that Ikea has open new branch in Cheras thus I do not need to travel to Damansara Perdana which consider quite a distance to me. I have not been to Ikea for breakfast quite some time. Why not to drop by since I’m free today.Luckily the restaurant is not that crowded perhaps today is a weekday. Luckily the restaurant is not that crowded perhaps today is a weekday. Ikea Cheras Restaurant is much more spacious as compare to Ikea Damansara, I also notice that they have more food variety here.
Ikea Restaurant offers Bread toast & sausages, Porridge, Meatballs etc for breakfast menu, however, I spotted Lotus Leaf Rice (RM13.90) then I proceed to order. It seems Lotus Leaf Rice is only available for limited time only.
Moving forward, Mushroom soup (RM4.20), is a self service counter where you have to help yourself. Just next to the Soup Counter, I saw Garlic Bread (2 for RM2.90), is this New item? I do not see this at Damansara. Well, just right for me to pair with the soup. Chicken Spring Roll (RM1), my favourite snack in Ikea therefore I took 2 pieces. Kind of greedy though.
Quickly grab a seat and kick start my breakfast, Lotus Leaf Rice served hot, upon removing the lotus leaf, you will see the topping Chicken Chunks, Onion, Carrot and Mushroom bites. This is western version of Lotus Leaf Rice other you will see Chinese Sausages in the parcel. The glutinous rice is soft, taste is on sweet side and lightly salted, quite a big portion to me though.
Moving on to Spring Roll, deep fried crispy popiah skin with turnip and shredded carrot filling. Yummy! Next, Garlic Bread, the baguette was very hard and dry.
Luckily I have bowl of Mushroom Soup, I soak the Garlic Bread into soup before I eat. Mushroom soup is thick but not creamy. Anyhow, is still acceptable.
When I about to leave, the restaurant was packed with patrons. Well, is my time for shopping now!Post
