I have heard pretty good review about Coco Steamboat from a few friends, especially the one that lives in Taman Desa. No surprise that the place was quite busy when we arrived for dinner over the weekend and we had to wait for a while before getting a table. Immediately we got down to ordering and it would be stupid of us to not try their famous pork bone soup base. The soup was a milky colour rather than clear and one spoonful packs a big punch of flavour, probably from it bieng boiled for very long hours. However be aware that they charge an extra Rm20 or 30 when you do order this soup.
For quick and easy food, just order the sets which are already prepared. It consists of some seafood, fishballs and other usual steamboat kind of ingredients. Nothing overly fancy however there is the option to add on different things too at an added price.
Like pork slices which I liked even though it is a little expensive for those slices of meat. It does tastes good when lightly cooked in the soup then dipped in the many kinds of sauces that is provided.
Now let's talk about the different kinds of chilli sauces, there are some that are just regular and then there's the really gragrant & spicy one. They're all good in their own way especially when different kinds of things are dipped into it. The green one, take a little bit then mix it with a spoonful of soup just makes things super exciting.I don't know whether the steamboat is as good as everyone says it is. Even though I quite enjoyed dining there, I don't think I'd go all the way to Coco with the crowd unless I'm nearby and it's convenient.
