Ever since the Kelana Jaya Seafood was no longer, we decided to think which other great seafood restaurants that located in the heart of city centre. As we searched through the Internet, one restaurant that caught us the attention - Restoran Tasik Indah, a Halal seafood restaurant which many regard as one of the best in Shah Alam. So we headed there with couple of friends to prove it.

Once we were there, we were greeted with the kampung style of environment. The Minangkabau style of roof and the all wooden walls surrounding the restaurant makes it a nice Malay kampung house touch! Best of all, as the name suggest, this restaurant located near Tasik Indah which is ideal for looking at the beautiful scenary of water. Thank goodness, we managed to get the table which is closer to the lake!

There were a variety of food to choose from - ranging from seafood (freshwater fish, prawns, crabs, cuttlefish, lala, bamboo stick, mussels and many more) to typical Chinese fare of cuisine like chicken, beef, rice

First up is the butter fried prawnThis is one of chef's recommendation and one of which most people ordered. The fried butter flakes was truly a marvel - It was soooo good! The prawn meat itself, while it's not huge as we think, was pretty good and well cooked.

Next: Steamed Siakap! That one was absolutely the BEST siakap we ever tasted! The fish meat was succulent, soft and really melts into our mouth! YUM!!! N the gravy, while not too spicy and sour - taste just like tom yam, but not in reddish spicy colour. The garnishings were pretty generous here - full with spring onions, mushrooms, vegetables and sliced ginger!!!
In the end, they served us free single scoop of ice cream to soothen our appetite after a great meal of seafood!

Overall, the average fare is about RM20++ per person (4 of us in total) which we found quite reasonable.
