The staff brought me a menu and asked me to write down my order on the order sheet. Other than traditional Fish Head Mee Hoon, there are Tom Yam and fried style too. You can choose to be served with fish head, fish paste, squid balls or big prawn (Sang Har) or combination of them.

I wanted to order traditional one but once Tom Yam appeared on the menu, I couldn’t ignore it! I ordered Tom Yam Mee Hoon with Fish Head and Fish Paste (MYR8.90).

The Tom Yam was a tomato-base soup which had a strong tomato flavor. I enjoyed the soup though it lacked of sourness.

The Mee Hoon (vermicelli) they served was different from the one we normally have, with thickness as glass noodle, which gave a chewy and tender texture.

The fried fish was actually from the body part not fish head. The fish slice was deep-fried to retain the moistness. The fish pastes were not my cup of tea, simply because I didn’t like the taste and the texture.

However, it’s a good dish to supply your body with carb, protein and good antioxidants from tomatoes!
