This place was highly recommended as we heard that Sally has shifted here. Well, for your information, Sally is the owner of the nearby local restaurant, which also serves good Chinese cuisine, that has shifted to this new location. As the previous shop has been drawing throng of crowd, so does this new place as well. The reason she is so well-known is that they served real tasty oriental dishes at absolutely great price, which I guarantee you won’t be able to find a similar one in those metropolitan city, hehe.

Soup dish is a typical menu for Chinese folks alike, and there is a vast selection out there, depending on your taste bud. So we started off with Chinese Peanut Soup. The soup was boiled with spareribs, therefore gave the soup the natural sweetness, without the need to add much flavour enhancer. The peanuts used were big and soft after being boiled, plus, the portion was just nice as it wasn’t too big bowl. Most importantly, the soup is clear and without much fat.

Come to the main star of the night, Fried Mantis Prawn with Nestum. This dish was gorgeous! Never had I thought mantis prawn could be prepared in such a way. Usually I would just have them plain steamed. The prawns were sweet and juicy, and slightly crispy with the added nestum flakes. Its flavor was further enhanced with added small chilies and curry leaves. Best part of all, they all had been unshelled
Yummy………

Next to join out table was Claypot Bean Curd. The bean curd was silky as we opt for local made bean curd, so it was much smoother. One special thing about this dish is that, this restaurant is serving it with roasted pork or so called “Siu Yuk”. Thus, it’s very aromatic in the gooey gravy alongside with fresh greens like cabbage, scallions, carrots, mushroom and many more. Definitely good to go with white rice
Also not forgetting to order a plate of stir-fried lettuce, which tasted equally good.

Last but not least, you can clear you throat with some Ambula Juice and 8 Herbs Tea (a.k.a. Pat Bo Cha), which were cooling! Do take note that one of the best Ambula Juice is served here, for the juices are really fresh from the fruit itself
