One of the famous delicacies in Malacca is 'chicken rice ball'. We decided to try it out during lunch at Restoran Famosa Chicken Rice Ball. We also had roasted chicken and otak-otak. The chicken was yummy! Smooth, tender flesh complimented with a crispy skin. Otak-otak is quite spicy and salty but goes well with the somewhat bland rice.Honestly, the chicken rice ball isn't that good because it's compact and not fragrant =/ It's a ball of mushy rice without much flavour. Honestly, the chicken rice ball isn't that good because it's compact and not fragrant =/ It's a ball of mushy rice without much flavour. Imagine soft overcooked rice that has been mashed and then rolled into a tight ball.
Like many other shops, the building has a very old and traditional look to it. It is however, clean and well maintained. Service here is good as well. They have enough staff to cater to the needs of the customers.
