Being a member of The Loaf has its benefits as you can get new bread flavors at half price. This is one of the newest bread to be introduced by The Loaf and its called the sichuan chicken bun. The is rather small in size, just slightly larger than a xiu long bao. The insides of the bun is spicy chicken strips with onions. The chili oil stung my nose when I bite into it and the base of the bread is very oily from soaking up the excess oil. continue reading

The Loaf at Bangsar Village is one of the bakery outlets which serve hearty meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It comes with value set lunches, and I order a plate of pasta to savour on.Chilli Prawn @ RM26.00The touch of local chilli in the prawns has indeed spiced up my taste buds, because it is sweet and slightly spicy. The garlic bread should be served while crispy before it is exposed too much to the air. And the succulent prawns are lightly sauteed, naturally fresh but blends well with the flavours of the dried pasta. continue reading

Cereal, is a loaf which is stuffed with so much cereal goodness inside it. The loaf has done a great thing I would say to make sure that this cereal loaf is not too dry and hard, which is one reason why most people do not really like cereals. It has a lot of mixed cereals inside, you will see them with every bite. I have discovered a way of eating it, which is to dip it into fresh milk, for me I think it almost work the same way as the ordinary cereal with fresh milk. continue reading

Beef Bolognaise PastaBeef bolognaise pasta here is pretty impressive as I get to know The Loaf first from its bread series. The pasta is prepare by cooking it in a boiling salted water for that extra flavour to the pasta and rinse with ice cold water to prevent it from sticky to each other. It is then shower with chef's special tomato sauce with minced beef and had a perfect taste and not too sour to me. This dish cost RM24 and is a little pricey to meChicken Ham Croissant The croissant had no doubt caught my attention for its aromatic soft and crunchy surface where it is rich with butter flavour inside. Serves with chicken ham and fries, this dish cost RM15.80 and had a great taste to offer. Personally do think that the ham is a little too salty but together with the croissant and fries, I could rarely care much as they are all well combination to one another. continue reading
