Out of a sudden, i'm craving for durian. The closest food i can find is the cake from Secret Recipe. They named this cake as Durian Durian. I got myself a piece of the cake. At first glance, the cake looks delicious and smell like durian. The cake was indeed moist and soft, however, the durian taste was very mild. In between the layers of the cake were some fresh cream with durian taste. I was hoping there would be pieces of durian flesh in the cake, but there weren't any. Perhaps as an international f&b, they want to make the cake acceptable to the international palate and not make the cake smells or taste over powering. But for me, it is definitely not good enough for local taste bud.
