Signature Dishes
Restoran Pertama, a shack operating under a BIG tree for more than 30 years. Crowded during lunch by office workers to CEO's of listed companies. I guess that speaks much of this place. Our Ipoh bud brought the 5 of us here for lunch. We ordered :-stir-fry mee hoon with salted fish (3pax) - tasted like Singapore fried meehoon and not overly empowered by the aroma of salted fish10 home made fish balls - bouncy, big and fresh. closed to ping pong ball size! I kid you not! 10 pcs of yong tau foo (available on Thurs only), - generous chunk of fish paste stuffed into chili, aubergine, bitter gourd and bean curd. mediocre but serving is huge!stir-fry HK vege - crunchy and freshWe brought a piece of 2kg fish for them to cook - Steamed Jelawat in soy sauce - fish is super fresh, sweet with flaky flesh. Not forgetting the omega fats from this prized fish! We we charged RM 99 for the above which we thought was a steal! Will certainly come again!
