I tried this place out during lunch time on a weekday. Traffic in the area is pretty bearable but parking is a little hard to find. If parking is full outside the restaurant, I recommend to park nearby in the housing area. We came at a good time (about 1:20pm) when it had just a few tables filled. 15 minutes after we sat down, the place filled up again but still with sufficient seating for more parties.Food here is priced from low to medium. Rare to find meals more than RM30 on the menu so it’s a good selection for simpler meals. There’s a range from western to a lot of local food here. Today, I ordered their House Special: Salted Fish and Chicken with Steamed Rice and Chinese Tea. I thought it was a simple rice with meat and gravy in a bowl but it was actually more like Claypot Chicken Rice (Ngar Pou Kai Fan). It was served in a medium sized bowl but very compact with chives, grilled onions, red dates, salted fish, rice and meat. There was plenty of flavour in the sauce with lots of flavour coming from the dark soy sauce marinade), enhanced by the salted fish. Chicken was quite juicy. In this meal, the only let down was that this took quite a while to prepare (more than 15 minutes waiting) and that the rice wasn’t as soft as I expected. To finish off, I had a simple dessert of double scoop ice-cream. The ice-cream was scoop was really bigger than expected and it was also topped with chocolate wafers and sprinkles.I would come back again and order other things. I was the last at my table to receive my order so maybe it’s the one meal on the menu that takes the longest. Everyone else got their meals pretty quickly.  continue reading

This cafe open from morning breakfast till supper hour, with very wide menu variety. Besides those drinks available at kopitiam like coffee, tea, they have also fresh fruit juice in the menu, which they will freshly blend it upon your order. Also, there is dessert like red bean tong sui etc available in the menu. This 'Cham' is made from coffee and tea, they make it with a very good portion using both ingredients, it is full with coffee aroma also taste of tea in the drinks, it is not sweet, which I like the most. You can have it for small or big glass, the price is very reasonable. It is satisfy! continue reading

continue reading
