Finally I got my birthday wish to eat here!  I have always wanted to go to a French restaurant and here is my wish come true! This restaurant is owned by Nathalie, a gourmet chef who has achieved 3 Michelin stars. There are only about 5-6 choices for the main course, and the same thing for dessert and also starters. We can order any main course with a Cafe and also dessert for only RM 85. First, we had a ham Canapes, which is the first time I have tried Canapes and I love it so much. There is whole lot of cheese inside too. Then, came our French bun, the shape of an eye which was eaten with a round piece of butter. I ordered Duck Fois Gras Steak (RM 58) ala carte which was incredible. It came with a lot of fresh raw salad in the middle like a burger with the duck burger meat. I would have preferred the duck in slices. The Fois Gras was amazing when it melted in my mouth. My friend ordered the Sea Bass (RM 75) which was just nice, a little crispy on the skin and the flesh was so fantastic. It came in 3 pieces. I totally love the wasabi like sauce. We made the sea bass a set by paying RM 85. We could choose any coffee we like and obviously I chose cappuccino which was just ok not that great. I regret that the design was not perfectly made like what I expected it to be. The Desserts were owesome. The Chocolate was so rich on top of a hard crispy pastry. the rich sinful chocolate melted in my mouth. The pistachio maccarroon was the best I have ever tasted and beats the one at Equatorial Hotel Melaka. The taste of the pistachio is so strong. The Tiramisu type of dessert which consisted of sourish cream atop soomething like flakes or granula and then something really sour was a great balance of the senses. The kitchen is so clean that one can see it from the glass panel from the outside. A totally great experience with excellent service by the waiters.  continue reading

it is super duper hard to find this place at it is located at the very end of the building.. it took me almost half and hour just to find my way there cause i read through the internet saying that this shop macarons is good.. so i decided to give it a try.. since it is my first time trying here.. i do not dare to buy a lot.. just little bit first.. i love the plastic container, they put it in and tie with the ribbons till very nice.. the waiter is good too.. and he is very friendly... after i went back home, i open up and try.. the chocolate was ok.. but it is sweet, the rest is very very sweet.. till i can barely eat it.. after one bite i'll need to drink a lot of water.. and its quite expensive, RM4 for a macaron... continue reading

continue reading

Nathalie is my all time favourite french restaurant!Interior is simple, neat and unpretentious which gives a comfortable feeling. I don't quite like their high chair as it is not as comfortable as normal chair for dining purpose but that reason alone shall not stand in the way. Menu is change every month and there is no way you will get bored of Nathalie. Very innovative and creative dishes that taste absolute divine. I once had a beef entree and that is the most tender beef I've ever tried. Price is consider affordable too comparing to some other fine dining restaurant which is worth every penny I paid. Macarons is a must try too especially pistachio flavour. I'll just say, Nathalie is very good at what she is doing. continue reading

It took us a bit longer than expected to finally hit Nathalie's Gourmet Studio, mainly because of its inconvenient hours: it's only open at 9am-6pm and closes on Sundays. Nevertheless, this smallish, well-hidden outlet is well worth a visit. If you live around Mont Kiara or Sri Hartamas, chef Nathalie Arbefeuille currently whips up some of the best food in your neighborhood. Head here soon, before the crowds discover it. The menu is compact: 5 starters and 5 main courses, alongside a smattering of desserts. Roasted vegetable mille-feuille. Chunky and creamy. Still light enough to be an appetite-whetter, but much more substantial than a leafy salad. Fennel soup with tomatoes, basil & parmesan. Tummy-warming comfort food. Seemed more like frothy, fragrant milk instead of soup. Cheese tart with tomato chutney, poached egg & tapenade. Break the runny yolk and mix everything up for spoonfuls of savory scintillation. Veggie juice and house red wine. Alas, alcohol options are severely limited here. continue reading
