As much as this shop doesn't hold a signboard outside the shop, they definitely still have their loyal customers visiting. The noodle soup tasted exactly the same as how I tasted years ago. Quality is maintained. I love their tasty noodle soup, and it has the natural sweetness to it. I love their fishballs which its freshness is surely apparent, and the texture was extremely bouncy. continue reading

As we were still feeling slightly underfed, we decided to order some mixed yong tau foo as well. The bowl came with a stuffed chilly cut in two, some stuffed bean curd sheet, some pig skin as well as a generous clump of seaweed. The soup tasted slightly different, probably due to the seaweed, but still nice all the same. Garnished with some coriander and fried onions, this is a dish that I can eat all by myself. continue reading

Situated at a row of shops opposite the now defunct Atria shopping complex lies a humble restaurant that sells delicious fishball noodles, Teow Chew style. This restaurant probably has lost many business since Atria was brought down, as car parks are now a premium in the area. Nevertheless, being one of their long time customer, I still find the fishball noodles here among the better ones in PJ.I ordered the dry fishball mee-bihun for lunch one day. It didn't take too long for it to arrive, despite some weekend lunch crowd. The noodles were normal, nothing special about it. However, the fishballs were awesome. They were very springy and full of the fish taste. It is different from other fishballs, as these fishballs definitely is made more of fish than flour. The soup also comes with some seaweed and slices of fishcake.I have also ordered the fishcake, which was delicious as well. Fresly fried, they actually cut the fishcake in front of you while it was smoking hot.The fishcakes were equally springy, but with the added layer of crispy skin makes it addictive. All in all, for RM 8.00 including drinks, this is among one of the value for money fishball around town. continue reading
