HOPP means "Happy , Optimistic, Positive People" inspired me to visit HOPP cafe. I date my blogger friend " Anfield" for dinner before go for late movie. From far, HOPP cafe has attracted my attention with it fancy decoration. This discreet den in Bandar Sunway has become a top draw for dinning with a mind-broadening menu of Western- Malaysian cuisine. A cosy and relaxing environment of HOPP cafe is suitable for hangout or even dinning or even coffee time. The Graffiti art catch my attention " Life is Better Together For You" .Since we are hungry, we order 2 main dishes to fill up our stomach. The menu make look simple to you but it hard for me to make decision as all the food look so tempting. At last we order Grilled Chicken Paella (RM15.90) and Fettuccine Carbonara (RM17.90).Grilled Chicken Paella prove heartier than predicted, as the special marinated chicken come complemented with roasted bell peppers, saffron , lemon wedges, sweet peas , cafe spice, garlic oil and aroz rice. The aroma of the aroz rice really a satisfied my craving.Fettucine Carbonara simultaneously creamy but wholesome-tasting, especially the smoke ducked breast . A perfect pair with fresh chives, Parmesan cheese, olive oil and Shimeji mushroom."Stressed is desserts" is well say when you spell backwards for stressed. The color of the cake is attractive to me.For More information, follow HOPP Cafe at their Facebook.Business address : 10D, Nadayu28 Dagang, Jalan PJS 11/7, Bandar Sunway, 48250 Selangor Darul EhsanBusiness Hour : 11 AM to 10 PM (daily)Contact : 03- 5613 3366Special Thanks to +Anfield Yee for accompany me for this wonderful dinner and photo credit to her. continue reading

I have never been to the Bandar Sunway area before, but I heard that the area has some good cafe's like GARAGE 51, SOFTCORE and HOPP CAFE. We wanted to try Hopp Cafe and have some proper dinner. Hopp Cafe is loacted at Nadayu 28 Dagang. They serve Pasta, Pizza, Paella, Malaysian Cuisine, Beverages, Soup & Snacks and Desserts. We were greeted upon entering and we choose our own place to sit. It was crowded when we arrived at 7.30pm. The ambiance of the cafe was good and they have different type of seating for everyone’s preferences. We ordered Chicken Paella and Tomato Seafood Pasta. Chicken Paella was delicious but the portion was rather small for him. It takes 20 minutes to get the Chicken Paella and the waiting time is stated in the menu. Chicken Paella @ RM 15.90Pasta was so yummy. I am not a big fan of Tomato Base Spaghetti but I was so in love with this pasta. The pasta was cooked beautifully and the sauce goes perfectly well. Moreover, they are generous with the seafood's portion too. Tomato Seafood Pasta @ RM 19.90It was a super good dinner for me. Foods are delicious, friendly & Fast service. The staffs are very good at recommending the foods to the customers and I must also thank one of the staff for his good recommendation. Thank You MR. STRANGER !! Hopping to a new born cafe in Bandar Sunway. I adore how quaintly industrial design inside it. Kitchen tools on the wall is such a brilliant idea, million thumbs up to the interior designer. We order each of drink/main course/dessert to share. I love the spaghetti so so much! The creamy sauce is utterly scrumptious with the perfect balance of flavors from white wine, seafood and herbs. Not forgetting my favorite shimeji mushroom too... HiHi ... Create own latte art service is no longer available, hope they will bring it back in near future. Latte of the day taste good, but it would be much better if wasn't served in a super piping hot condition. The coffee almost scald my tongue. Every meal should end with dessert. Chocolate Lava required 15 minutes of preparation time, so order in advance to avoid long waiting period. The cake done perfectly with a crusty, sturdy outer layer and ooey, gooey center. However, this wasn't taste enough chocolatey for me, maybe it diluted by the acidity from orange ganache. Cafe Latte (RM9.5)Hopp Spaghettini Vongole (RM17.9)Warm Chocolate Lava Cake (RM8.9) continue reading

Another latest cafe in Bandar Sunway. Hopp Cafe is just on the ground floor of the new Commercial Block at Nadayu next to Sunway Pyramid, Petaling Jaya. Opened just a few months ago, business is brisk at lunch time. Hopp Cafe serves both Western and Malaysian fusion. There are different types of sitting in this cafe, from sofas, settees to chairs and tables. This dish attracted my attention the most. the Seabass Paella. Seabass PaellaWe ordered it as our main dish. Paella is a famous Spanish dish and I have eaten Paella in Madrid, Spain. It comes with a cute pan with two ears (handles) and a small semicircle tray with chilli, lemon and celery. Taste wise it is just ok to me, as I compared it to the actual Spanish Paella that I have eaten in Madrid. Paella is rice cooked in a pan and the uniqueness is you must see the burnt crispy yet tasty rice at the bottom of the pan.Roasted Garlic and Chilli Chicken PattiesFor Tapas, my girl chose the chicken patties. The Roasted garlic and chilli chicken patties consisted of roasted garlic, chilli and minced chicken meat all mixed together. We can see the red chilli in the minced meat but don't worry, it is not spicy. Ginger & Lime Cream BruleeIt was Cream Brulee for our dessert as both of us like cream brulee very much! Presentation for this dish is very good . A small piece of biscuit is placed on top of a thin dash of ginger. On the other side of the plate there is a slice of strawberry, and bits of chocolate sprinkle under as scoop of vanilla gelato. The custard in the Cream Brulee itself has the correct level of minimum sweetness and texture. Happy to say this is my highly recommended dish! Here in the menu it says 'create your own latte art'. So I ordered hot cappuccino and tried to do it myself. We were given a cup of cappuccino and a glass of cream. Hot Cappucino - RM9.50After this it is your on own. Here's the video of it, an amatuer trying to do latte art. Wasn't up to standard, right? I must really go take up a course in Latte Art. Any recommendations? My Ugly First Latte ArtHere are some of the menu of HOPP Cafe for your reference. For most new cafes/restaurants that I have been, the person in charge is normally very friendly. They try to have a small talk or exchange some pleasantries to make people feel happy and enjoy dining. But this cafe seems lacking in this area. Lastly, I would like to thank Openrice for making it possible for me to dine in Hopp Cafe by giving me a RM30 voucher. My total bill for a cup of Hot Cappuccino, Roasted garlic and chilli chicken patties, Seabass Paella and Cream Brulee at Hopp Cafe was RM51.55 for me and my daughter.
