Signature Dishes
A nice-looking place with warm service, but the menu has both hits and misses. The 12-inch "Monster Burger" (trimmed a bit here, since they ran out of some patties) is their claim to fame. Looked impressive, with the patties made in-house, but the chicken was tasteless, the beef was dry and the vegetarian patty was too salty. Mee krob. Rather bland, lacking the zesty flavours associated with Thai recipes. Fried rice in pumpkin. The saving grace; being fans of pumpkin, we scraped the soft, sweet pumpkin flesh out of its rind and savoured every spoonful.

The ambience at Cravings Kitchen and Bistro is quite a simple one. Its decoration is kept to the minimum with white tables and chairs which gives it a clean image. It has quite an extensive menu from Asian to Western cuisine. The prices are quite reasonable too. While I was here, I tried the Grilled Chicken. It comes with mashed potatoes and curly fries. A funny combination though with two potatoes dishes but I enjoyed the crunchy curly fries. The mashed potatoes are a little let down as it has a weird taste due to the carrots bits that were mixed in. I liked the slightly charred chicken where it gives out an aromatic charring flavour with the chicken skin and the meat is tender to the bite. It has the right marination with the right saltiness and slight pepper taste to it, which is good to be eaten on its own without the sauce. The mushroom sauce is very thick with a full bodied mushroomy flavour that goes hand-in-hand with the chicken.
