Coco Tei: Round Two. Mentaiko salad. It's official: salads in KL are no longer boring. Thanks to the melt-in-the-mouth marinated pollock roe, we relished every spicy, savory bite of this one. Octopus tempura salad. Another winner, with brilliantly battered baby octopus that was warm and crisp on the outside, sweet and springy within. Reopened in May 2011, Coco Tei Restaurant was firstly opened as Hajime Restaurant. With the same management as Hajime Restaurant, Coco Tei has very good reputation and we pay the price for its premium quality. Strategically located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, Coco Tei offers offer delicious Japanese fine dining with a fusion of both traditional and modern dishes. Only the sashimi alone is enough to satisfy me to the maximum. The freshness is better than certain hotel buffets! I'm totally smitten with the thick cuts, and wasabi.
