Tried out this nasi lemak specialized stall today was totally disappointed. Ordered nasi lemak biasa with added "sambal kerang". I haven't eaten such a lousy sambal kerang in my life up to now. The kerang were so minuscule that they are most probably newly born kerang. Worst of all was the undescribable taste. A bit sour, so weird. And adding insult to injury, it cost RM10 for the plate of rice, boiled egg, kacang, ikan bilis, sambal, a small portion of sambal kerang, something so ordinary which can be bought at many stalls around Klang Valley for less than RM5, if with a decent sambal kerang (not just kerang plus sambal sauce and nothing else) then can go up to RM6/RM7. They even charged GST at a stall within a food court. Do they rake in RM500,000 in sales annually for just a single stall? continue reading
