ordered mango desserts and some of it taste like artificial mango! prefer hui lau shan than this. and for the mango ice, it is just mango syrup (altho not bad) on some plain ice. maybe i had too high expectation upon seeing the menu and recommendation by friends. continue reading

As title mention, this is my fourth or fifth time there already. Hence the famous food here please refer to the  KTZ food review from Maple. This raya, my family travel to KL and I brought them here, since most of the eatery are closed during the raya. The crowd nonethelss is crowded as always. Since all the food that I ordered is same as previous, these were the different one.  Yeong Chew Fried Rice Rm 9.30Normal only. Barley with Gingko Nuts Hot Rm 3.40serving hot, smooth and think with soya bean taste, but not too sweet. I guess this restaurant simply know what kind of taste to suit Malaysian. I don't like it if it is too sweet. FOrgot the name Rm 6.90I didnt get to drink this as it is cold, and I have my monthly problems on the day. However, the serving time this round is longer than usual. Usually, it took about 5-10mins to serve. this time it is 20 mins. Perhaps this happen during holiday, travelling season I assume. Price wise, it is standard, worth the price, but my family members, esp my siblings can't accept the way I said it is standard price. TO them, the price of having dessert is equipvalent to heavy meal already.  continue reading

I did not know where to go for dinner at supper time, somewhere which my friend has not been. In the end, I brought him to K.T.Z. SS2 where the place used to have a big crowd and queue. Today there was no queue because they have laid the tables on the road as well. We ordered the Dried Shrimp Chee Cheong Fan (RM 6) which turned out to be a disappointment as the chee cheong fan was rubbery and the flour mix was not made properly or not folder neatly so there were many folds. I could not finish the dish. Our main dish was the Szechuan Noodles which was not spicy enough probably because I did not pour all the chilli oil inside as it looks too oily. There were small pieces of pork and also some shanghai pickled vegetables. The ingredients were very little yet the price is quite high at RM 7.90.In order to save money, we ordered and shared a cup of waterchestnut drink which was quite cooling.  continue reading

this deep fried yam snack is usually found in many dim sum shopsbut KTZ also offers it in the menu because some people have a savory tooth rather than sweet toothbut honest to God they should remove this item from their menu because it is really horribleit looks nice and golden on the outside but inside it is like a lump of mashed potatoes continue reading
