I've always passed by this donut shop called Mister Donut whenever I do my groceries shopping at Jaya Jusco One Utama. It's written there "... from Japan". However, a quick google search brought me to Wikipedia and it says "Mister Donut is a fast food franchise founded in the United States in 1956." Nevermind that, I think the most important aspect here is how good their donuts are. Unlike Big Apple, this hidden shop here may have lacked a bit of attention from the potential customers. They have a variety of donuts here, ranging from the French Cruller, Sweet Ring, Sugar Raised, Pon de Ring series etc.
From the picture itself, I can roughly tell that the donuts are are thicker than other donut franchises. Just look at the width of donut yo~
I ordered the Pon de Blossom at a price of RM2.40. Unlike the conventional donuts, this ring-look alike donut has a texture that somewhat resembles mochi; chewy and soft. Usually I'd prefer my donut to be soft and can be chewed off in one bite, but this one has caught my attention. Due to its texture, I get to enjoy this donut longer rather than finishing one within 2 minutes The sugar coating on top of the ring is not too sweet either, which is good, because one wouldn't want to have diabetes right?
