Woke up this morning feeling very hungry due to light dinner the night before. Usually on Sunday mornings, wifey and I are reluctant to go out, instead preferring to have some bacon and eggs at home. But since we were feeling very empty, we decided to head out to Paradigm Mall to visit Plan b, and to have a hearty breakfast, specifically their breakfast platter. When we reached there at about 1130am, the place was already very full. The indoor seating, which can sit about 50 people was also packed full to the brim, and we were ushered to the alfresco dining area, which was able to accommodate another 20 people or so. We were seated right in front of the dessert counter, which was extremely tempting.

Nevertheless, wifey and I agreed that we must have our main meals before gorging into dessert. So we ordered the breakfast platter. We got to choose how we wanted the eggs, either poached, fried, sunny-side-up or scrambled. I prefer my eggs sunny-side-up, and we also order the cappucino, which by the way could either be long black or macchiato, depending on your preference. While waiting, the waiter served us some water, in which he poured from a brown bottle. Very creative use of recycled products, I must say.

After waiting for a while, and I thought that the service was pretty quick, considering the amount of customers, my breakfast platter came. Yaay!

The portion is big, but not humongously so, and I was able to finish it, although wifey did pick on some of it. From the top, there was my sunny side up, served on a piece of toasted bread, ciabatta I believe. The eggs seemed quite small, by the looks of the yolks, but tasted delicious all the same. The yolks were still runny, while the white are perfectly done. The toasted bread was crunchy on the crust and soft in the middle, just the way I like it. Moving on towards the right is the grilled turkey ham. It has some brown lines on it, indicating that it is well grilled, but still juicy. Slightly salty, it goes well with the toast. The chicken sausage was succulent, though I would still prefer pork ones. Too bad they don't serve pork, as it is a halal restaurant. The sausage was also well grilled with the brown lines present. The triangular hash brown was definitely freshly fried, as it is very crunchy in the outer part, and piping hot in the inner part. The baked beans were so-so, as I have tasted better. The beans seemed to be falling apart, not as whole as I would like it to be. The star definitely has to be the sauteed mushrooms. Savoury and balsamic, each piece oozes with sweet mushroom taste. The sauteed cherry tomatoes were also quite nice. Tangy and juicy, it cleanses the palate between each bites, which allows us to fully taste the rest of the platter. A cup of orange juice was part of the set.

A small cup, but sufficient. Pure orange taste, with bits of pulp in it convinced me that it is freshly squeezed. My cappucino's foam top was nicely decorated to resemble a fern, which I was sorry to destroy when I added in sugar and stirred.

Nothing like a good cup of joe after a heavy meal. It comes with a slice of almond biscotti, which we enjoyed immensely. While the dessert is a-calling, regretfully the stomach cannot handle any more, so had to give the dessert a pass. Will definitely order the next time. All in all, great food in a great place.
