I am not happy with my recent visit at STS.Went with a friend for high tea, ordered a pot of tea and 5 different flavors macaroons, on a weekday afternoon.the tea was good, nothing much to complain. The friendly waitress even offer us honey to go with the tea but we didn't need it because we have macaroons as our sweeteners. But the problem came from the macaroons.the first one we tried was the rose flavor, which we most looking forward to.we wanted to cut it into half with tea spoon but was not

Went with a friend for high tea, ordered a pot of tea and 5 different flavors macaroons, on a weekday afternoon.
the tea was good, nothing much to complain. The friendly waitress even offer us honey to go with the tea but we didn't need it because we have macaroons as our sweeteners. But the problem came from the macaroons.
the first one we tried was the rose flavor, which we most looking forward to.we wanted to cut it into half with tea spoon but was not able to do so. it was hard like a rock! when we finally got it into two part, we found tat the middle was already harden up like candy. I think it is not fresh. very very upset with this but we did not inform or complain to the staff.
Just that our mood for that afternoon was spoiled. And I think I will not order macaroons from STS anymore.
