For one of my family dinners, we went to Ah Yat to try their signature abalone dishes. The restaurant is tastefully done with nice ambience. The highlight of the evening came with abalone and stewed goose web (similar to chicken feet but belonging to webbed feet from geese or duck). The abalone and goose web both were drenched in abalone sauce which was very rich and slightly thick, just the right consistency so that the sauce clings to the ingredients nicely. The abalone and goose web both were drenched in abalone sauce which was very rich and slightly thick, just the right consistency so that the sauce clings to the ingredients nicely. The abalone is super tender which made it really great to savour. The abalone ia the size of a golf ball so it wasn't too big but really made up for it in taste.
The goose web served had been stewed thoroughly and the flesh is easily breakable. Everyone on the table enjoyed the dish which is simple but unforgettable.
