Don and I walked around the First World Plaza to search for a good place for food. Since we just checked in to the hotel, we were both in hunger. We passed by this restaurant and decided that we should give it a second try to see if we will ever need to return again someday. Our conclusion? NO!Because of the pricey items they have on the menu, we merely ordered a cup of Teh Tarik and Plain Water. It’s not surprising though, to have a cup of Teh Tarik at RM6. One can never expect much in Genting Highlands. It was definitely overpriced, I would say, in terms of quality served.Don made a right choice by ordering Spicy Kung Poh Chicken at RM13. It may not be up to a certain standard, and I could definitely get to taste something much better near my house. Still, it was the best dish among all that were served on our table.I had Salted Fish with Chicken at RM13. Honestly, it was so extremely salty and only huge pieces of chicken breast were served. I mean, I am always fine with chicken breast, although it will always be my last preferred choice, but my teeth were about to break as I chewed them. Imagine!

Apart from the food, the waiters and waitresses were all youngsters. Hence, the services provided were very disappointing. They were not attentive at all during our visit, and it seemed to me that they were working unwillingly.

In conclusion, I will stop visiting this restaurant and I would encourage you to give any other restaurants a try instead of Flavurs.

That night, I had a date with my girlfriends at Asia Cafe, a premier food court offering an array of food and beverages from all over the globe, including Japanese, Korean, Chinese, and the others. As usual, since I don’t usually come to this place due to its environment, I ordered Lemongrass Grilled Chicken with Rice from Vietnamese Cuisine. It was recommended by one of my friends.

I was disappointed when the food was served. The drumstick had shrunk compared to my previous experiences with the same stall. Taste wise, it was just okay. The smell and taste of lemongrass was nowhere to be found. I would say that I was basically eating Grilled Chicken with Rice, instead of Lemongrass Grilled Chicken with Rice.

Meh! I should start to consider giving the other food stalls a try.

This was a place where Don and I have decided not to visit ever again ever since. It's not about the services, but the food quality.My Jasmine Tea and his Blue Ocean Soda that came with our set meals. Both tasted very ordinary.His Black Pepper Butter Lamb Chop. He actually wanted Cheesy White Sauce Chicken Chop, but he wrote the wrong code as he placed his order. Since young, I never like lamb, but I tasted a mouthful of it, and surprisingly it didn't smell. However, Don didn't quite like it because there were too many bones, and the black pepper sauce contained too much of black pepper until he could only taste spiciness instead of black pepper.My Black Pepper Butter Chicken Chop. I would never want to recommend this to anyone. The chicken was to stingily small, and it was too hard. I rated only 3.5 out of 10 for this dish.

Now you know why I said I would never return anymore?

I had previously filed a complaint to their branch's manager. Unfortunately, there wasn't any reply from him, so I forwarded the email to the headquarter of OLDTOWN White Coffee. They replied, but it seems as if my feedback was not appreciated, and the issue is still unsolved. Please read my email below:

Dear (name),

This email is sent to you because I was told that you are the manager of Subang Avenue's OLDTOWN White Coffee.

On the 13th of December 2012 (Friday), after 10.30pm, I visited your outlet together with my other three friends to do revision. Initially, we were all sitting at the smoking area located on the upper floor. Soon, one of my friends and I moved to the non-smoking area, the table that says that it can only be used when there is a minimum of four person, and it was when disaster happened.

Indeed, there were only two of us at the moment. One of your waitresses came as soon as we settled down to ask if we have four person, or we should move to another table. It was followed by another waiter who came and said the same thing to us. Surely, it was our fault for not following what that was written earlier, so we asked the other two friends of ours to join us to make it four. Just so you know, it will definitely take a while for them to move their seats, because we were having Mathematics revision, and no one likes to be interrupted while solving questions. This, I believe, is absolutely understandable. Furthermore, your cafe was not even close to being fully occupied, so there was no need to rush at all. Am I right? We have clearly told your staffs that yes, the other two girls will join us in a bit, but one of them came to us again to repeat the same thing. Certainly, I started to feel annoyed. Very annoyed.

Soon, four of us were seated at the same table, so we thought that the problem was solved and that we could finally focus on our revision. Your waitresses apologized to my friends for causing trouble as they came to join my table, and my friends were pretty fine with that, until something more dramatic happened right after that. By the way, we have ordered a total of three cups of drinks at the moment, including Iced OLDTOWN White Coffee, Warm Water, and Iced OLDTOWN Enriched Chocolate.

Another waitress, A, came to us, took a menu, and started to convince my friends to order some drinks. She even mentioned that a cup of plain water would be fine. My friends did not intent to order at all. That's the point. Even if they did, they could have done it on their own. Logically, who would ever force customers to purchase or order this and that? Only Subang Avenue's OLDTOWN White Coffee did that, or does that, I suppose. Logically, are three drinks way too little for four ladies after dinner time? After A's offer was rejected, she rudely placed the menu back to where she took it from, and left.

Later on, she came back to us again and said that we had been occupying the place for more than two hours when we were merely there for less than an hour, and if we did not order more, we would have to move to another table. Again. Ridiculous! Initially, they said that if there're four person for the table, it will be fine. Then, they forced us to order more or we would have to move to another table again, when we already have enough people for that freaking table where no one was waiting in line. Seriously?!

My friends and I were extremely annoyed that one of them finally got mad and told her off, which it was totally reasonable for being treated in the worse way and badly disturbed continuously. She was lucky that we did not really scold her as we tried to control our anger. She then rudely stared at us as if we had the fault.

No, your staffs did not come for just thrice, but more than five times within that hour, especially A. It was too much. I have always been to a few of other OLDTOWN White Coffee outlets but never have I encountered such lousy waitresses, especially A.

P/S: It was not until later on that we realized that the table behind us (same type, for a minimum of four person) was only occupied by two person, and none of your staffs even bothered to bug them at all. Brilliant.

Really, what is your standard operating procedure? Where is the respect and priority for your customers who pay for even your lousy services? Please also provide FULL explanations about the kind of policy you have here, as well as how you have to rush people to make four person in a group almost immediately, how EACH of your customers MUST order drinks in order to stay for a few more hours, how we could not stay for long, how necessary it was to disturb your customers again and again about the table issue when no one was waiting for the table at all. Yes, FULL explanation for whatever my friends and I were unhappy about. If these were really the company's policy, where are the signs that say so in and around your cafe?

Whatever we had perceived was nothing compared to what we were expecting. It was indeed the worst experience we have ever had with restaurants of all categories.

Jjajang Ramyeon. The noodles were literally similar to the famous Shin Ramyeon that can be found at most of the stores. The jjajang was just some normal sauce that consisted of potatoes and a little bit of meat, topped with some cucumber. I thought it wasn't worth the price paid because if a bowl of ramyeon were to be charged at that price, at least the sauce should be satisfying. I was not unhappy about the sauce, but it could have been much better than it was.
