Crepe Cottage Penang is indeed a great place to hang out with friends for dinner and desserts. It features all sorts of crepe based savories and desserts smile It is located at Gurney Drive, around 15 minutes walk from Gurney Plaza.

Crepe Cottage

A variety of mouth-watering dishes to be chosen from smile The price is reasonable as well, ranged from RM10 to RM30.

A must-pick! The sweetness is just nice and the mango ice cream goes perfectly with the crunchy crepe. Really dazzle my taste buds though!

I prefer desserts over savouries because the main dishes are not so flavourful tongue The desserts are delicious! I have been there for 2 times and the desserts never fail me smile If you happen to drop by Gurney Drive, this is a must-go place!

First time trying Mille Crepe, after hearing all the extraordinary good comments from bloggers! And truly, it's good!

But I personally recommend the green tea Mille Crepe! It's delicious! Creamy fillings between the crepes layers, with the fragrant green tea. Not bad smile)

Low Maji Steamboat Restaurant Smile Dec 29, 2012

Best Steamboat!!!
I entered this shop coincidentally due to its promotion on hot and spicy (ma la) steamboat. We’ve tried its “ma la” soup but it’s not so good compared to tomyam and herbal soup. Still drooling when thinking of the tomyam.
The shop name is “low ma ji” which means mother in Cantonese. I love it so much!! The seafood is very fresh and the best thing is you do not need to grill the food by yourself! Grilling will be done by them, you just need to clip the number on your plate, and concentrate on your STEAMBOAT. I love the seafood there, they have the sweet mantis shrimps and big big crabs! YUMMY!!

They used to charge RM22++ for each person as the other self-serviced buffet steamboat. However, recently they have changed it to charges per dish for each dish you want to order sad Still, it worth a try since their foods are good!

I bet many people know Nong and Jimmy because it is always CROWDED. Sometimes you need to wait for table. The foods are awesome, cheap and delicious. Being a tom yam hunter and number 1 lover, I highly recommend the claypot tom yam soup there <3

The most famous dishes there are the mini yao char koay (deep fried crullers) and charcoal grilled crabs. The freshly made pandan kaya is a perfect match for yao char koay. For those who eat cockles, grilled cockles would definitely cater your tastebuds.

Other dishes that we ordered.

Trust me, you must go there and try out the foods! I've been there for more than 3 times within half year smile Imagine how much I love their foods.

Yam Rice Smile Dec 29, 2012
Categories : Chinese | Kopitiam

Rice with yam and fried onion, eaten long with sour vegetables soup with pork. This is indeed my all-time favourite!

Frankly I'm a Penangite so I never know yam rice is not available in other places except Penang. I was shocked when my friends in KL told me they never eat yam rice ;D

So I brought them to give it a try when they visited me in Penang. They love yam rice so much after trying it!!

The price is reasonable as well. Ranged from RM8 to RM15 smile Must try it when you come to Penang!
