Viennese Coffee Smile Sep 02, 2013   (Related Review)

Viennese Coffee

Coming to an artistic café should be coupled with a good cuppa, or so I thought. I have been missing this beverage since it has ceased from Nando’s menu. Glad that finally found it here lol

The coffee comes in a nice and dainty design of bright red rose theme. Actually I would prefer if it the floral design is smaller so to exude the delicateness of the art. The whipping cream on top comes adequately nice with hint of vanilla flavor to pair with the otherwise stronger coffee underneath it and some sprinkles of coffee powder on the top. It has nice smell and mild bodied. Best to be drank after stirring evenly with the cream for smoother texture.

Winter Warmers Coffee & Tea House Smile Sep 02, 2013

Winter Warmers Coffee & Tea House

Am pretty sure every lady would be smitten by this warm décor of the café, the moment you step in. Not only that it is comfy and spacious, it has the delicate and floral design that help to add some soft spot to its cottage-like setting. Most of the laid table cloth is of chequered design, that is pleasantly complemented with its rosy wallpaper.

This café is actually famous for its tea time vis-à-vis, where you get to sample your preferred fragrant tea from the many dainty ceramics that are sure to mesmerize you with the artful design, like the Latte Mug, which is very beautifully crafted with the Victorian theme. Nice!

If you are a tea person, you may help yourself with the many types of tea available here, ranging from floral to fruity variety to calm your weary sinew lol

Char Kueh Kak OK Aug 30, 2013

Char Kueh Kak

Other than the famous ubiquitous Char Koey Teow from the Pearl of Orient, Char Kueh Kak is also equally popular among the foodie. Both delicacies are fragrantly fried with full of ‘wok hei’ and only different in the base ingredients used. This Char Kueh Kak mainly consists of rice flour cake, that has been diced before being stir-fried with dark sauce. Similar ingredients like bean sprouts, eggs, garlic and spring onion are also added to give you that aroma. The specialty is duck egg is being used instead of the usual chicken egg. It is said that the dish would be more fragrant this way, but somehow, the rice cake looks less flavorful compared to koay teow. If more daikon is added, then it might do some magic I suppose lol

Durian D 15 Smile Aug 30, 2013   (Related Review)

Durian D 15

Next type to be shared is the D15. To be honest, I actually don’t quite know how to differentiate the breeds of this King of Fruits. They all look almost the same to me. But if there is some colour difference, that it is easier to gauge.
This D15, is much darker in yellow color. Flesh wise is equally creamy and sweet, except that it is more moist and more mushy. But the level of pungency, still looks the same to me lol It is still enjoyable and just do bear in mind to take some salt water after eating them for it is said to reduce the body heat after this durian feast- according to senior folks lol Want more traditional way, drink with the durian husk as well tongue

Durian D 13

The credit goes to dad again for being so thoughtful and able to read my mind, upon arrival to Penang. I think it is an easy guess as I would always crave for durian whenever am in town, so it is not hard to predict I suppose lol
Usually, dad would always patron this stall at Cecil street for durians. This time round, he come back with the breed of D 13, with bright yellow flesh. It is creamy, sweet and always that tasty with its very own unique aroma. It’s a case of like it or hate it lol
