Begedil and Banana Fritters

It has been a norm over here to have some snacks during tea time. Somehow, we tend to binge on food after lunch time and start to yearn for finger food, especially fried stuffs lol Staying in Malaysia is definitely a blissful when it comes to 24 hours of food availability tongue At here, you can get a decent array of local Malay delights such as this Fried Banana Fritters. Unlike those sold in the city nowadays, the one served here is more genuine with slightly bigger portion. Taste wise still not too bad and I quite like the ‘begedil’, which is Malaysian deep fried potato patty. It is very soft and mushy like mashed potato. But it can be tad oily, still, I always love potato-themed recipes smile

Chicken Chop Smile Sep 04, 2013   (Related Review)

Chicken Chop

Luckily, this chicken chop is presented decently good. It comes with the common side dishes like coleslaw, fries, black pepper sauce and the fried chicken fillet. The chicken chop is fried till crispy and the meat is still agreeably tender. It is also crispy and crunchy on the outside. Not too fatty and pairing it with black pepper seems quite good idea for this fare. So long there is my favourite fries, I won’t make much fuss lol

Fettuccine Carbonara OK Sep 04, 2013   (Related Review)

Fettuccine Carbonara

After waiting awhile, my meal finally arrives. But this Fettuccini Carbonara is actually quite far from what I have thought and seen usually, hehe. Comes in a much smaller version as compared to the price, the white cream is actually quite dilute and thus lack of cheesiness and milkiness it ought to have. Meat bites are very scarce and the overall dish is quite a cry. Overall it is rather plain and I think I can cook it better.

Meeting Point Café Smile Sep 04, 2013

Meeting Point Café

There are actually quite a number of beach cafes at Long Beach, Small Perhentian Island. After some brief surveying, we come to this little cozy café which goes by the name Meeting Point Café. It is set up facing the white sandy beach, against the turquoise clear sea that is so inviting that we went for snorkeling at the meal over here. Basically, the place is full of Caucasian and also with lots colorful umbrellas being used as roofs for the guests to enjoy their meal. From our rough estimation, only 5 % is of local tourists lol Seems like this place is really a hit among the international arena lol

Watercolours Café & Resort OK Sep 04, 2013

Watercolours Café & Resort

Another beach café worth a visit is the Watercolours Café & Resort, which is located just a stone’s throw away from Small Perhentian Island, but of course, via a boat’s ride. So now we are at the Big Island at the café run by independent company that provide tranquil lodging as well as dive centre. Since we are already at Small Island, we think it would be good to maximize our trip experience to visit nearby islands by just spending some extra bucks for the ride. After some strolling, we stop by this café and get some cooling drink. Too bad, that time only 100 plus is available, and me made no fuss but just settle down and enjoy the cool sea view. The place is quite airy but you need to pick the right spot so that the fan is somewhere nearby you, for it can get quite hot when noon lol
