Chicken rice seems to be the most accessible and easiest to reach whenever you are plalnning to have a quick grab, especially when you are clueless of what going to have for your lunch. This chicken rice prepared by Malay cook taste slightly different from the usual Oriental method. The oil rice comes with more spice aroma in it, then paired with fragrantly roasted chicken meat. Chicken meat is very juicy and tender, making it very succulent indeed. Oh ya, do remember to couple it with some sourish but appetizing chilli sauce.

When my kins from Singapore came to visit us, we brought them to this little town to try out the unique curry mee here, that is enjoyed by most folks. I have one aunt that hails from KL, who whenever passing by this town would definitely stop by to get some nostalgic flavor over here.
The curry mee sold here is quite different from those you would find in big city like KL. This noodle or rather vermicelli-noodle ( my personal preference), comes in a clear soup that has been boiled with mackerel fish. Naturally, the soup is really nice and sweet. Usually, I would come later in the morning so I can enjoy the flavourful soup, that has been boiled since early morning It’s very nice and simple homey fare.

Cereals & Milk Corner

I always like to kick off my fabulous outing day in my every escapade with some healthy diet, so that I won’t be feeling so guilty for the many indulgence I gonna take on later of the day Well, I wish there were some muesli oats at this cereals corner to compliment my breakkie, but only those common flakes are available like cocoa crunch, honey stars , and other types. Nonetheless, no complain about it as it is still quite decent and it would be inapprioprate and a tad injustice to compare it with those hotels. So am still pretty happy with these humble and crunchy cereals, swimming freely in my favourite beverage again, milk!

Fettuccine Carbonara

After waiting awhile, my meal finally arrives. But this Fettuccini Carbonara is actually quite far from what I have thought and seen usually, hehe. Comes in a much smaller version as compared to the price, the white cream is actually quite dilute and thus lack of cheesiness and milkiness it ought to have. Meat bites are very scarce and the overall dish is quite a cry. Overall it is rather plain and I think I can cook it better.

Watercolours Café & Resort

Another beach café worth a visit is the Watercolours Café & Resort, which is located just a stone’s throw away from Small Perhentian Island, but of course, via a boat’s ride. So now we are at the Big Island at the café run by independent company that provide tranquil lodging as well as dive centre. Since we are already at Small Island, we think it would be good to maximize our trip experience to visit nearby islands by just spending some extra bucks for the ride. After some strolling, we stop by this café and get some cooling drink. Too bad, that time only 100 plus is available, and me made no fuss but just settle down and enjoy the cool sea view. The place is quite airy but you need to pick the right spot so that the fan is somewhere nearby you, for it can get quite hot when noon
