James Foo Western Food Smile Aug 20, 2013

James Foo Western Food

Guess it is another branch of this newly open chain of Western food, ‘James Foo Western Food’. As always, the shop is always full with throngs of crowds from all walks of life. The restaurant is actually pretty well lit with bright yellow colours. It has indoor dining as well as al fresco style, depending on your preference. Table setting is chic and casual, while being livened up with the many delicious painting of the food hanging on the surrounding. Quite a nice and comfortable place to hang around at this new neighbourhood at Four Seasons with delectable Western food to whet your taste bud.

Tau Sa Pia

Dad would always remember and never fail to grab this Penang famous delicacies whenever am coming over. Although this product is not from the commonly known existing big names, the Tau Sa Pia is actually pretty good, if not better, I feel it is much fresher as the filling is very light and powdery. None big traces of onions are detected and thus the biscuits taste pleasantly with the aroma from the beans. This shows that the biscuits are indeed freshly baked.

Chocolate Krushers Smile Aug 19, 2013

Chocolate Krushers

One of the famous desserts that you could enjoy on the go is the Krushers. It comes in few flavours and chocolate variety being one of them. It is accompanied by some swirl of vanilla sundae as the topping. Ice cubes are bit coarsely crushed in the medium tall plastic ware. The concentration of the chocolate flavor is mediocre, coupled with some ice cubes, does make a delightful chocolaty drink.

Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf

To be able to spend a carefree afternoon for some catch up over the cuppa should be deemed blissful lol Here we are at another outlet in Penang, located at Queensbay Mall. The crowd seems doesn’t lose out to those in KL, seats are always fully taken especially on the coach side nearby the wide glass doors. Overall ambience here is cozy with some serenading music on the background. The smell of the aromatic coffee wafting in the air seems to be a good companion for a relaxing reading session too lol

Hokkien Mee Smile Aug 19, 2013

Hokkien Mee

Comes to the most signature fare of every Penang tourist shouldn’t have missed, Hokkien Mee. I usually would ask for a mixture of noodles and also the vermicelli. This way of eating the noodle gives me a better texture. Also, I would request the soup base for my bowl of mee to be also a mixture of thick and the dilute soups, a.k.a, ‘loh’ add with prawn soup. The former having a much thicker brownish texture while the latter is totally the opposite. But it is nice and sweet as it has been boiled with the prawns shells for decent hours to get the gist out of it. So when enjoying this way, you get to savour a scrumptious bowl of prawn noodles lol
