Green Tea Frap Smile Aug 16, 2013

Green Tea Frap

It comes naturally to have matcha coffee at any leisure night should I want to have a coffee-free moment. Even when there is this promo of getting the second cup complimentarily, I still prefer to stick with this evergreen Matcha Frap lol I always enjoy the aroma of green tea, much more when it is blended with milk which makes it further smoother. Not forgetting the must-have topping of the whipping cream for I don’t want to miss out the milkiness of it. Some might think it is bit sweet, but it’s totally fine with me in this case, perhaps it’s due to the milk. I even asked for a double dose of the whipping cream- it’s really filling, you don’t want to have another attempt again lol

Durian @ Cecil Market Smile Aug 15, 2013

Durian @ Cecil Market

Finally, I get my craving treated during this ad hoc trip to Penang lol Initially am not having high expectation since I forget to inform my dad that I want to eat some durian. But as the saying goes, daughter is always the pet of daddy’s eye, and so, true enough, dad has prepared three tupperwares of durian, awaiting my comeback lol As though there is this telepathy thingy going around, haha. Can you imagine that utmost surprise satisfaction? ^^
This is actually from the breed of Red Flesh, or locally known as ‘Ang Heh Kia’. Don’t ask me why as I also think the name is pretty stand out by itself lol The flesh is very sweet and creamy. The reason why it is being called red is because of the slightly stronger color of the yellow-orangey, not that it is totally red lol So this durian fruits are real fresh, with some bearing more solid texture but nevertheless, pungently tasty! lol

Potato Salad Smile Aug 09, 2013   (Related Review)

Potato Salad

For some appetizer before the main dishes arrive, potato salad seems good to go. Basically it is decently done with cubes of potatoes that are being evenly mixed with mayonnaise. The potatoes that have been earlier boiled are quite soft to the taste bud and smelled fragrantly. The dressing added is just nice, not too much so you won’t feel too creamy. With some dashes of black pepper is enough to spice it up pleasantly.

Stuffed Fish Smile Aug 09, 2013   (Related Review)

Stuffed Fish

Like its namesake, this fare comes with a decent plate of fish fillets at a really affordable price. Served in a big plate with assorted side dishes like bread, salad, my favourite fries, and last but not least, the show-stealer of the day, stuffed fish. I enjoy the part where it is really generously stuffed with cheese n’ ham within the crispy layer. The ham has been sliced and covered with cheese thoroughly. Not too cheesy but just nice. Paired with the chunky huge fries is already very satisfying.

Iced Milo

Unless, you are still craving for something homey and familiar with at this western café, then getting a glass of Iced Milo definitely won’t go wrong. Comes served in a tall glass with coarsely crashed ice cubes, it helps chilled the drink faster and evenly. . Sweetness level of the beverage is also acceptable and not too sweet. Guess it still make a decent drink especially when you are having it at about 10 pm lol
