Hershey Sundae Pie

Yes! I get my hand on this sinful pie eventually lol This Hershey Sundae Pie is a must-have, once awhile whenever you are patronizing this chain. I don’t think you can find anywhere else selling this dessert then. Seriously, this pie is really, really rich and dense with all the wondrous chocolaty sensation that is really worrisome to the ladies, but once a while breaking from the rigid diet won’t harm right? lol It combines cream cheese, dairy source, some chocolate chips, cocoa powder and of course, Hershey chocs. They are put layer by layer with a thin spongeof chocolate cake as the base. It is quite full to be finished alone, but nonetheless, rewarding and toothsome!

Barbeque Pork “Ngam Yin Siew Wan “ Rice

The first dish to greet us is none other than its signature product “Barbeque Pork “Ngam Yin Siew Wan “ Rice”. In fact, through this unique name of the menu do I get to know that it is indeed a nostalgic fare made famous from Steven Chow’s movie “Sorrowful Rice”. As amusing as it might be, it also brings along the cheers and tears together with it.

Undeniably, the pieces of the barbeque pork are really, really juicy and tender. It consist of few layers where the fatty ones, particularly melt in your mouth the moment they wet your palate. They are indeed a good piece of delight that definitely need certain skills to prepare it, especially by a seasoned chef. The meat has been nicely grilled and topped off with some sweet, savory sauce, before serves with oil rice. Am not a huge fan of meaty dishes, but this somehow got me addicted to it. Slurps!

See the succulent meat? Double thumbs up! ^___^

Vegetarian Roll  Smile Jun 28, 2013

Categories : Chinese | Stall / Warung | Noodles | Mixed rice | Vegetarian

Wo hoo! After some several slices gastronomy trips made, best to have some lighter food so that the tummy could be relieved of its frequent digestion job once while. It’s so happen on the 15th day of the lunar month, which falls on weekend that enable me to make a trip for my favourite vegetarian roll. It isn’t the usual spring roll that you usually seen at night market, but rather a healthy one in bigger portion as welllol The filling is adequately flavoured with natural ingredients like sengkuang, carrot and lots of julienned ginger! Never did I taste before so much ginger in a bite, but I suppose I still could handle it pretty well, hehe. The outside skin is actually very smooth and silky, that leads me into thinking that this might be the roll of chee cheong fun that use to wrap the ingredients, albeit slightly thicker. Oh ya, do remember to pair it with the sweet dark sauce when eating it for better flavor enhancement lol

At first, I wasn’t that thrilled upon the suggestion of my foodie gang to go for Indian cuisine, for I worry that it’ll be too spicy for me. As truth has it, it isn’t and has further enriched my gastronomical dictionary actually, in a more colorful way lol

This authentic Chettinadu cuisine restaurant is located at Jalan Maarof, Bangsar with its humble beginnings started in Chennai more than 40 years ago. Now they have expanded the chain globally to wet the palate of people around the world, and at the same time, encourage cultural assimilation too. The outlet over here in Malaysia is quite conducive with air-conditioned surroundings in a brightly lit space.

You need not have to wait long before your order arrive pleasantly at your table, but don’t expect it to be a big portion eithertongue I was told that most of the ingredients and spices used were imported, and I guess that explains why the portion is a bit decent at an affordable price, just like this Prawn Biryani.

Biryani is definitely a must-order dish whenever you’re exploring into the cultural world, in this case, Chennai food smile This meal was served with tender prawns cooked in Basmati rice with spices. Each grain of rice is fully infused with the spices aroma and thus, very flavorful. It also comes with two types of dipping,; curry based and onions in sour yogurt. The yogury relish resembles the Jal Jeeder drink I had at Nawab.

Next to join our table is this Paneer Tikka Masala. It was highly recommended by my friend for this dish bears an ingredient that am always crazy about; Cheese! Haha..

Ironically, it look more like the Butter Chicken Masala or a fish cake in curry gravy lol Paneer is an unaged and non-melting curd cheese made of milk and lemon juice, vinegar or any acidic sauce. It is quite chewy and tender, with the cheese taste isn’t that apparent, but it has a crisp singe on the surface. The Paneer was cooked with capsicum cubes, onions and tomatoes in masala, as a touch of Indian diaspora. It is also best enjoyed with biryani rice or even plain rice.

Petite Millie  Smile Oct 18, 2012

Aloha Petite Mille! Finally am making my mark over here lol This quirky restaurant was initially recommended by my epicurean uncle in Penang, who travels frequently to KL for meeting. And it seems like an uber sumptuous French cuisine indeed! Furthermore, it is situated conveniently at One Utama Shopping Mall.

The café has a simple, casual and laid-back dining atmosphere which offers modern adventurous European fusion to the many gastronomic enthusiasts out there. With the minimal decorated interior, it provides guests a cosy environment against the chalkboard flashing the daily specials within its dim lit restaurant.

So let’s welcome Lov a Duck ……………….Twice!!

It’s a menu consisting few peppered duck breasts and shredded duck confit topped off with orange segments as well as some fresh Rucola. I kind of fancy its given name. It’s so cheeky and chirpy at the same time, hehe. This terrific version dish comes from the famous Tartine variety, where they prepare the sandwich open-face, to show off their signature toppings on home baked sourdough bread. The duck meat are so succulent, especially the duck confit which has a very rich taste, and it’s well balanced of with the zesty oranges. It’s also paired with some healthy version of fries, which is made from the crispy edge of tarte. It isn’t oily but taste more like those thin pastries skin that is bake-fried.

Next to ensue is this gusto Field Mushroom Potpourri.

It comes in an assortment of hand harvested mushrooms such as Portobello with fresh Rucola and grated Parmesan Cheese. This is actually a unique version of Alsace’s famous flame baked pie from the signature Tarte Flambee category. Apart from being chewy and tangy, the varieties of mushrooms are lightly flavoured with black pepper that goes really well with the accompanied salad. The salad greens are all very fresh and crisp with the piquant dressing used that surely has enriched the appetite in its mild sourness.

Indeed, the foods are charmingly served as its sweet-sounding dainty name depicts. It definitely makes a great addition to the dining circuit around Klang Valley and hope it would expand its outlet very soon. Muah, c'est delicieux !!
