The interior of the place is clean and spacious, much to diners' comfort. Service is quite fast too, which is a plus point. While dining in Japanese restaurants, I liked to try its Unagi Rice. It came in a bento, which is quite appetizing to the looks. The fish meat is soft and flavourful with the sweet terikyaki sauce that exudes a hint of slight saltiness. I liked the charring done on the fish when they grill it which gives out a special aroma to the fish. The rice is fluffy too.

The restaurant looks quite grand from the outside. It serves a variety of Cantonese and Sichuan dishes. I tried the Bamboo Cup Soup. Presentation of the soup is quite interesting. They actually cook the soup in bamboos. It consists of meat with dried scallops, minced pigeon meat, minced chicken, and water chestnut in superior soup. The texture of the combination ingredients tasted like hardened tofu. It’s ok but I found it to be too peppery.

It serves Venus Scripts with Superior Soup and Ginger. When I saw the menu, I was asking around what is venus scripts. When it arrived, it’s actually lala. But, it’s a larger type and it exudes much sweeter and juicier meat. The superior soup isn’t too bad with a handful of chilli padi and pepper for the extra kick. The ginger also adds some spiciness to the soup too.

There’s something about New York New York Deli that is unique compared to other places. I noticed that this place is much brighter where it uses white light instead of dim and yellow lights. It’s good as it cheers up the whole place and you wouldn’t gulp down any unidentified objects or species. I had the Clam Chowder. It’s a bit disappointing as it tasted quite powdery. It has bits and pieces of clams but it couldn’t salvage the bland soup. Should have used more pepper and salt. Anyways, the ambience saved the day.

For some treats, I spotted the Buffalo Wings and ordered that. It came in nice colour of orangey red and I expect it to be good (we all have our expectations when we see the food in front of our eyes right?). However, it’s not as good as I expected. I would prefer it to have less coating of flour. The meat is just nice and tender, with the right saltiness. Else, you could add your own seasonings with the salt and pepper on the table.
