Been hearing the rumour about how great the popcorn was and it was opened in Malaysia for the first outlet in KLCC.

Got myself a small bag of Macademia popcorn for RM19. Yes it was Crunchy, flavourful and sweet. It was good for the first few bites and will leave the rest for another day. It was too sweet for me for some reason.

It goes well with the salad as its light and refreshing as well.

Dessert time~ OK Jun 04, 2012

Categories : Chinese | Stall / Warung | Desserts

Being a Hong Kong Dessert fan since 'sometime' ago, I'm delighted to hear that Hui Lau Shan did actually landed in Malaysia. After wondering sometime in One Utama and saw the que of people line up. Inside the outlet was packed and people seems not having gotten their food. From the look, they seem to lack of staff and might need to speed up a little smile

Ordered this trio to share. Start with the Ice Cream with some mango pieces inside. Thinking it will be better with some mango sauce and others. Kinda plain and the crust seems no flavour to me. The middle was a mango cream with mango pieces and glutinous rice ball. I love the rice ball as its so 'Q' and goes well with mango. The top one was a mango ice cream with some coconut flesh and mango pieces. Frankly, dont really like the coconut flesh very much and this was just so-so for me.

This was some lou-lou kind of dessert where dip the fruits into the mango sauce? Not very sure how to eat but I suppose its like that. Erm for me is quite plain and another mango + fruits dessert with coconut flesh.

The last thing was the Pomelo Icy Sago with Rockmelon. Not much taste to this, the center ice cream taste like Santan and its alot of ice. tongue

Well overall don't really like it too much buy will pay a visit again someday to try out other things. mad

Ramen!  Smile Jun 02, 2012

Categories : Japanese | Food court | Ramen/Udon/Soba

Personally, I like Ramen very much and would try every other new Ramen branches that are open up in town. Recently, I so happen to saw one of my friend recommending this Ramen shop in One Utama and decided to try out. Musashi tend to get my attention that there are actually from Japan and also they have the chef from there. mad

Well, before reaching the shop, can hear someone shouting and there seats outside for customer to take a sit (to que). We are approached by the waitress and handed over the menu. We are guided by pictures but still I'm blur as for ordering.

Not for long, we are asked to go and order at the counter as well as paying for the food first. It seems that the noodle are differ from soup or dry and also the different toppings. So I decided to choose the signature soup Ramen (Musashi Ramen) where there are half an egg, 2 cha siu, menma and scallion. Also there are 3 types of oil to choose from: Shiro, Kuro, and Aka. Only remembered Shiro ( onion oil) and Aka (chili oil)
Shiro(onion oil) Ramen

Shiro(onion oil) Ramen

Not for long the Ramen came and it was absolutely delicious! ( Find the soup a little salty so I personally added some water) The soup base was thick and fantastic. If there is a bowl of rice then will be perfect bowl

The noodle texture is just right and it tasted very nice( not the usual yellow noodle). Eaten with the soup is very good. The cha siu is bigger than I expected and the egg is cooked just nice. chopstick

Overall the whole dining process is very highly recommended. The staffs were polite and energetic. Once in a while, there will be some shouting from the kitchen and that alone is kinda entertaining.smile

Mango Waffle OK May 16, 2012
Categories : Chinese | Café | Desserts

Have noticed this shop a while ago from the Ah So standee in front and been there few times to eat their dessert. Generally, I like their cold stuffs more to the hot ones.

I'm a mango fan and would really try anything which contains Mango. This waffle was one of the item in my list. Yummy mango filling with an Ice cream on the top. From the look, it is delicious. I do think the downside is there are a lot of cream and also the waffle aren't hot when its served. I think it take them quite some time to put it up. Hope there are more mango sauce as well. Apart from this, others are pretty well made.

p.s: Their Creme Brulee is very nice~!
