Japanese food always my favorite . Recently I found a nice Japanese food in Publika that satisfied my appetite. Tsubohachi is well known more than 40 years since it first established at Hokkaido. Now Tsubohachi is the famous traditional Izakaya chain restaurant in Japan. At Tsubohachi , customers can experience authentic and traditional Japanese cuisine including Izakaya culture where customers gather for drinks and food as a form of relaxation after a long day of work .

1) Nagashi Somen Setto (RM 27.90)

Nagashi Somen Setto is new to me as you will put in Somen noodle into the cool water. Once the noodle is cool, scoop into the bowl and dip it with the sauce. Eat immediately while the noodle is cool and you can add in some tempura. Chilling sensation and it taste good. "Wow".

2) Eihire (RM 12.90)

Eihire is grilled Ray Fin. Love this and the ray fin is so chewy when you bite on it.

3) Imo Mochi ( RM 8.90)

Imo Mochi is Hokkaido style deep fried mashed potato. The texture is soft and eat it when is hot.

4) Buta Hakusai Nabe (RM 29.90)

Buta Hakusai Nabe is pork belly & Chinese cabbage mille-feuille in claypot. A clear soup taste sweet due to the fresh cabbage and the pork belly been prepared is small slice. A healthy Buta Hakusai Nabe and it worth for money as it serve in big claypot.

5) Butakushi (RM9.80)

If you love Yakitori, you can order Butakushi. Butakushi is pork belly skewers with leek. The specialty about Butakushi is you get to choose the flavor whether with salt or sauce.

6) Torikawa (RM 7.80) & Bonjiri (RM 7.8)

Torikawa is Chicken Skin skewers while Bonjiri is Chicken tail skewers.

7) Ramen Sarada (RM 16.90)

This also one of my favorite food. Not only the combination is healthy but the ingredient is so fresh. Ramen Sarada is a combination of noodle, lettuce, onion, egg, cucumber, bacon, leek , cherry tomato, carrot with sesame dressing. It remind me of Chinese " Lou Sang" whereby it has colourful combination in the dish.

8) Wokadori Zangi (RM 13.90)

Wokadori Zangi is Hokkaido style deep fried chicken thigh. Crispy and crunchy chicken thigh really make me licking my finger after taste this.

9) Okonomiyaki (RM 17.90)

Okonomiyaki is Japanese savoury pancake containing a variety of ingredients. Okonomi mean " what you like" or " what you want" while Yaki mean "grilled" or "cooked".

10) Dessert time ( Matcha de Roru (RM 14. 90), Shiratama Matcha Kurimu Zenzai (RM 12.90) , Kakurenbo Aisu (RM 14.90) & Yuzu Shabetto ( RM 9.90)

The night is still young and why don't order some Sake or Asahi Sub Zero to clear your thirst.

Uncle Tetsu Cheesecake IOI Mall, Putrajaya

I was so happy when Uncle Tetsu Cheesecake has arrived to Malaysia. Uncle Tetsu Cheesecake has expanded to 8 outlets in Malaysia. The history of Uncle Tetsu Cheesecake start when Sweet Shop (Mizokami -Seika) closed in Hanajam and then Uncle Tetsu Cheesecake was born . His super soft, rich and flavorful baked cheesecake spread throughout Japan faster.

I so delighted as I get to taste the best Uncle Tetsu Cheesecake. The Signature Cheesecake (RM 21) is the best seller. The cheesecake is bake fresh daily. The process of this cheesecake is using premium and important ingredients. The taste is so fluffy and soft when you bite on it. The Signature Cheesecake been served in hot and can be kept inside the fridge for 3 days.

From The Strand Mall, you have to walk straight toward the shoplot and you will find this hidden germ cafe called Rakshee. Rakshee has been operating for almost a year by young entrepreneurs from different background. One of the founders uncle owns a Bakso factory in Penang for more than 13 years. He decides to bring this Indonesia street food to another level and name is cafe Rakshee.

According to the owner, Rakshee has two meanings and it is derived from an informal Arabic language that means joyful and relaxation.Rakshee is modernized and hipster-like based design. Interior ideas came from a few parties including interior designer friend who helped gives a lot of suggestions.

Rakshee is famous with their Bakso. Bakso (RM 1.90) is a kind of meatball made from beef that commonly found in Indonesia street food. What makes Bakso to be different than a typical meatball? Bakso uses more lean meat than fats. Rakshee’s menu is fully created by their in-house chef. Before creating the menu, there is only a requirement from the owner that is all savory menu items must to be infused with Bakso. Other than serving Bakso with beef soup, they even have Pasta with Bakso instead of using normal Italian meatball. All their Bakso is sourced from the uncle’s factory.

Spicy Thai Linguine (RM 9.90)

The pasta texture is soft and it taste spicy. Try the meatball as it so chewy. Nom...Nom...

Baked Pasta Marinara (RM 9.90)

I love the baked Pasta Marinara. So filling meal and the ingredient mixed well with the cheese. Give a try on this.

Rakshee Linguine (RM9.90)

The taste a bit similar with Spicy Thai Linguine . This meal is not spicy and is healthy to me.

Bakso Nugget ( RM9.90)

This is my favourite nugget as it use some spice for the ingredient . So when you bite on it, you can feel the crunchiness of the nugget. Yummy... Yummy. Remember dip the nugget with the sauce to bring out the nice taste.

Rakshee Grill Lamb (RM 30.90)

This is a must try and highly recommend by the chef. The lamb is tender and juicy. The specialty of this grill lamb is the sauce.

Rakshee Soto Bakso (RM 11.90)

If you still feel hungry after the main dish , why dont try on their dessert . I like their dessert and also the soft drink.

Annyeonghaseyo, who love to try the best Korean BBQ?? Introduce to you the new opening Donsadon Korean BBQ. The design of this restaurant is simple and the grill is built in the table.

Juiciness and tenderness of the pork belly make me craving for more. One bite of the pork belly, you can feel the texture of the meat and it really taste nice. Ermmm.

The owner share with us how they eat Korean BBQ and Korea culture. It is interesting to know more about Korea culture.

For me , the best way to eat Korean BBQ is in the traditional Korean Ssam style. Ssam mean "wrapped" in Korea. To eat korean BBQ, firstly put a leaf of lettuce on your palm and add in a piece of pork in the middle. Then added in ssamjang or sliver of garlic or even a piece of chopped green chili. Usually they will provide a basket of green lettuce leaf or sesame leaf that known as Perilla.

Eddy try to cut the pork belly. Look at his funny face when cutting the pork belly. hehe

When I having my Korean BBQ, I will order Soju. It's is clear, slightly sweet Korean alcoholic drink. Usually they pour the soju in shotglass. In Korean culture, respecting the elder is very important. the younger person will pour the drink for the elder .

Korean BBQ usually will come with some side dishes

Good new for Korean BBQ lover as you only need to pay RM 29.90 (per head) and you can enjoy unlimited refilled of the pork. Donsadon is different from other Korean BBQ as their pork belly is thick, tender and the portion is big.Location : Dosandon,

Hallo December and Christmas is coming to town!!! Wohoo. Still remember my write up in October regarding this special restaurant call BWB Flamimg on Fire. This round BWB brings more excitement in their food not only in term of taste but also the creativity in food.

My second time to BWB not because I greedy but I love the food, the environment and the friendliness of the staff.

1) Yellow Bomb (RM20) - 2 pcs

Yellow Bomb is using lobster salad with small slices of mango and wrap with cucumber. Caviar been added on the top of Yellow Bomb. The sweetness of the mango go well with the lobster salad. Yummy...yummy.

2) Truffle Butter Toast (RM 18)

Mini french toast served with truffles butter and caviar as a topping.

3) Cup Noodle (RM14)

This is a must try dish. The Angel Hair pasta mix well with pan fried bacon chips and dry chili. The preparation is in Aglio & Thyme style. Super delicious and great combination of ingredients.

4) Bolognese Toast (RM 16) & Petai Toast (RM16)

My favourite is Bolognese Toast as the combination mix well while for the Petai Toast, the taste is new for me.

5) Fritto Maiale (RM 38)

Fried roasted pork with aglio. The roasted is crunchy and juicy. I eat non stop for this dish. Hehe.

6) Piggy Bun (RM 28)

This mini bun served with Sakura mince meat, oat and onion. The portion is small but so filling as the mince meat is thick.

7) Grilled Squid (RM 26)

The squid not too oily but a bit dry to me as not sauce to dip with. By the way the squid is big and chewy.

8) Oyster Box (RM12) -2 pcs

The name of the dish is so unique as the oyster been stuffed inside the bean curd. Then they will fried the bean curd until golden. A crispy from outside and soft at inside. Yummy...

All of this, my favorite still BWB Flaming on Table. Ocean on Fire (RM 65), Angry Bird (RM35) and Oik-Oik on Burning (RM48).

More varieties of food serve at BWB Flaming on Fire.

Handmade Ice - CreamWith Anfield and Kakaliwak

Finding a suitable place for Christmas dinner? BWB Flaming On Fire is the right place that you can consider to celebrate Christmas. Nice food and nice place to hang out.
