Ying Yang Hokkien Mee Smile Jul 16, 2012   (Related Review)

When I was young I always love to mix my cantonese fried with hokkien noodle but since that no one is selling that dish outside I that I was weird

The Ying Yang Hokkien Noodle (雪花福面) is exactly what I've been loving all this while. It consist of fried hokkien noodle that is covered with cantonese fried like gravy where it is rich with egg and very aromatic. It is good but I still prefer my hokkien noodle to be replace with meehon. If you have the chance, do try this out.

Sour Spicy Tofu OK Jul 16, 2012   (Related Review)

The homemade tofu is slightly less favourable as compare to others because the texture of the tofu is rather stiff to me. The size of the tofu is also bigger compare to others while the sour and spicy sauce tend to open up my appetite. There's also a small chunk of fish meat in this dish. Overall it is a good but not best dish as I've tasted better one. The portion of this dish is also quite big where we've 'over' order it.

Grilled Fish Smile Jul 16, 2012   (Related Review)

Whenever I visit a chinese restaurant, my friend or family usually would order steamed fish but this time round, since there is a recommendation, we opt for the grilled fish. I can't remember the name of the fish but this had to be an awesome grilled fish. It is grilled until slightly burnt on the skin thus creating a crispy layer where the meat inside is fresh and smooth. There were also various type of sauce (mostly spicy) provided to go along with but I'm just happy to have mine the original taste.

Roasted Chicken OK Jul 16, 2012   (Related Review)

The roasted chicken or better known for its chinese name 洪七公烧鸡 was recommended by the waitress but I think it wasn't up to expectation. The chicken meat was slightly dry to begin with while the taste wise is OK. The chicken meat is also slightly under-season I think because I find it rather plain in taste but it does come with tons of chilli sauce to dip in. No doubt the thin layer of skin is crispy but it would be good if the chicken have more meat than bone.

Chicken Meatball Smile Jul 16, 2012

Pu Yuan Restaurant is quite hidden from the naked eye and if it wasn't for a friend who brought us here, I never know such dish exist. The chicken meatball is one of the few signature dish at Pu Yuan and it does satisfied my crave from its claim. The minced chicken meat is rolled into round shape being deep fried until golden brown where it is then coated with lost of oatmeal. Really crispy on the outside and flavourful on the inside. Highly recommended.
