Roasted Chicken OK Aug 13, 2012

Technically Grand Palace is a good place to have dim sum but beside that they do serves other main dish as well. The roasted chicken is pretty well done in term of texture and appearance but not so on the taste wise. The roasted chicken comes with a fairly crispy and crunchy thin layer of skin. The meat was tender and juicy and lightly salted. Beside these, there's not much different from others place to stand out to. Not saying it is bad, just hope that there would have a better / different seasoning. There's still sauce along with the dish to boost up the flavour and appetite.

Claypot Wang Di Mian Cry Aug 12, 2012   (Related Review)

There's one stall here selling a wider series of claypot noodle where most of the ingredients are the same only the type of noodle differ like wang di mian (mee raja), lou shu fun, noodle and etc. I tried onl the dried claypot wang di mian and it does look good presentation wise but tasted bad. First off the noodle is lightly flavoured. There's no saltiness in neither the noodle nor the ingredient like fishball. The dark soy sauce doesn't seems to spice up the appetite too. The only saver of the dish is the chilli padi with soy sauce. I could have put RM5 with top up for a better choice here in Ming Tien.

French Toast Cry Aug 12, 2012

Ming Tien first started around Sunway area and then bloom into Taman Megah area with a tropical theme. Ming Tien is known for its ABC & bread series previously. I tried the french toast few weeks back and was rather disappoint with the serving. The size shrink a little and the ingredient used / given was obviously less. The bread was toasted with spread of melted peanut butter inside and the bread is showered with stingy portion of honey. Taste wise was degraded somehow and the bread was rather hard and dry. Because the bread wasn't serves hot, the chunk of butter didn't really melt and thus making the toast being eaten with the absence of the butter. Overall there's much more better version of french toast and I wouldn't dare to imagine how other bread series like thick toast would be like.

Vege Mee Mamak  OK Aug 12, 2012

Mee Mamak
Vege Life Cafe is a vegetarian restaurant which famous of the seaweed fried rice, lui cha and many other delicious food. The place is quite comfortable and free wifi provided. This is mee cooked in mamak style, wet and spicy. The mee used is their home made noodles, so the taste is special and extra Q. It is not very spicy, it taste a bit of curry and salty. There is lots of vege, mushroom cooked together. It looks like mee mamak but the taste is quite different. This cost RM5.90.

Crispy Chicken OK Jul 31, 2012

The stall here sells nothing but its signature dish only, the crispy chicken with or without rice. The stall is decorated with newspaper cut out showing pride where famous stars had stop by to dine here. The chicken is indeed crispy as it claim but I find most of the time the meat isn't fresh. It tasted like a refried chicken with kinda oily and tough texture on it. The crispy skin however brings not only the crunch but also the saltiness to the chicken and personally I think there's more to improve.
