Finally Sushi Zanmai open up it first branch in Penang and finally we put our foot into the restaurant after so many attempt, we try to visit a few time before but give up every time due to the long queue. Today we are also queuing but this time only 3 person in font of us so we willing to wait. They must be serving good quality of food to make people willing to queue, rarely see any restaurant that queue after into operation for few months.

You can simply find a Japanese Restaurant somewhere in Penang, it just located anywhere, anytime to serve your hungry stomach. Aji Noren Japanese Restaurant is located around Tanjung Tokong, shop lot opposite Island Plaza. Nice environment in Aji Noren, decorated with a lot of wood and partition for all table to create high level of privacy for your dining.

Kushi Katsu Set Dinner , a portion of curry cook with vegetable that include of carrot and onion that create a well curry which contains of sweetness from the vegetable and the originality of curry spiciness, accompany with two stick of deep fried pork meat, the pork meat use is pork rib where the meat is extremely soft and juicy.

Bento A, Sashimi, Unagi, Ebi Tempura, Korokke . A big piece of Unagi, three tempura prawn, three pieces salmon sashimi, three pieces tuna sashimi, egg and deep fried croquette. Unagi is quite disappointed even though the portion is big and the sweet sauce is delicious but the Unagi itself is very chewy and a lot of small bones in it. Tempura prawn is big and fresh while crispy outside, perfect to deep into the soup provided or taken together with wasabi.

Crispy Baked Seabass served with Cream of Almond Sauce, pan fried fresh Seabass with salt top with almond sauce that is very fresh and delicious especially the crispy skin with juicy meat.

Lamb Shank, we did eat Lamb Shank during our previous visit but they have improve it again to make it even better, they created the Lamb Shank by braising it for at least 4 hours in vegetable and beef stock with assorted herbs to make it extremely tender soft and flavorful. Mandarin orange made sauce made it taste sour and sweet.

A great place for gathering although price might be slightly higher compare with other restaurant.

After long tiring day walk in the largest shopping mall in Penang, Queensbay Mall we decided to let our sore feet take some rest before it give up. Starbuck, Coffee Bean, J Co ..etc is what we use to hang around so we selected a new shop name Austin Chase at ground floor.

Austin Chase is from Seattle and first outlet was in KL, Penang people are so lucky as second outlet opened at Queensbay Mall. There are a few tables either indoor or outdoor with big projector and various type of board/table game. No doubt a good place for friends to hang around and play some game, great place to spend time.

Eastern & Oriental Hotel, Penang Sarkies Corner Buffet is very well known for their buffet, serving good food with a lot variety but this is our first time to visit after temptation by so many great review by all food writer. Sarkies Corner offer a wide selection of delicious local and international delicacy together with bottomless wine, beer and fruit punch. The fine design and decoration of food has allowed me to take almost 100 photos which might cause slowness if I will to load all into single page hence I will separate into two page which the first post will focus on Introduction and Appetizer, appetizer, second post is Main Dish while third post will put focus on Dessert.

We start our appetizer with Sushi and Sashimi which just at the entrance of Sarkies Corner, various type of Sushi available for selection and Salmon is our choice as it really look great with layer of fat and meat. We just took one type of Rice Based Sushi to avoid reaching our quota so fast, the Salmon Sushi is very nice with fresh Salmon and Japanese Rice is just awesome. Other Sushi as well looks very good indeed.

Great thing come next is the Sashimi, Oyster lover will definitely in love with Sarkies Corner Buffet because they has unlimited supply of raw oyster that keep on refill till we left. Oyster is really big and fresh taking with lemon is extremely delicious where the sea taste just came out from nowhere.

Sashimi corner should not miss the Salmon Sashimi, fresh thick cut of Salmon sashimi is so inviting and we has taking a lot of it with the wasabi is just a perfect combination, next to the Salmon is prawn, big prawn but the prawn texture is a bit hard and chewy.
