Remarkable Fish Hot Pot Smile Jan 05, 2014
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Steamboat/Hotpot

Fish hot pot soup with fried grouper fish, yam, mushroom, bean curd, Chinese cabbage and bean curd skin serve in small, medium or large pot with free refill of their delicious soup with or without milk as per customer preference.

The restaurateur suggested a small hot pot could serves up to 4 pax but personally I would say best only for 2 pax. Yup for 4 pax if one to savour only 1 piece of fish. Get it ? The pot alone was just good on its own with noodles or bowl (extra charges) for a complete meal but extra add on available range from processed foods, home made yong tau foo to fresh seafood e.g. sea cucumber, scallops, slice abalone, pacific clam, oyster, fish maw etc. Assorted vegetables and mushroom also available. Those who love pig's offal may find it here. Single patron may opt for a la carte e.g. seafood fried rice, seafood fried flat noodles, fish head vermicelli soup, pork noodles soup etc.

Really enjoyed dining here though comparative in price a bit pricey from other steamboat restaurants in the same area; due to its distinctiveness ? Put aside the price, the piping hot soup was superb as little or no flavour-enhancing food additive called monosodium glutamate or MSG being used. No symptom of intense thirst or tingling in the mouth thereafter. Excellent dipping sauces to go with especially the dried shrimp chilli lol Not to miss the fresh crispy hot fried prawn dumpling. As for their BBQ char siew, well grilled to perfection with thick caramelized sauce on top and yet I found something amiss here. Kinda of missing of the BBQ char siew fragrance but still worth trying. End it well with very impressive Grapefruit Mango Sago as dessert. Most important non-smoking area with air-conditioned is available for comfortable dining experience in extremely hot weather nowadays. Otherwise it would not be so enjoyable.

Sure this would be top of my list when come to steamboat.

Very fine and flavourful pure chocolate just melt in the mouth. One piece alone could satisfy your crave for chocolate.
A bit pricey at RM 45 per box of 200g with 40 pcs (20 pcs each) but definitely good to have smile Those chocolate lover for sure would fall for this and might as well warm the heart of your special one.

Good to take away OK Jan 03, 2014

What a good news when came about Nadeje in Petaling Jaya. At least can save an hour journey from travelling to Malacca just for the most talked about mille crepe in the town.

Still remembered reaching there quarter past 5 pm and to my disappointment no seats available due to very limited space. Around 5 to 6 small tables. Very crowded with people queuing for take away. No choice but opt for take away as don't think can have a peace of mind having tea time here by looking at the situation. Personally, it is a big turn off whenever need a long wait to dine in but luckily the service was very efficient as I can leave the shop with my crepe within 10 minutes. Selected few of their house speciality at RM 9.50 each. Since no more mood for tea time, headed straight for dinner and only "tea" the next day.

~ Original (creamy sweet)
~ Rum & Raisin (huh where were the rum and raisin ?)
~ Banana chocolate (just love it)
~ Mango yoghurt (like it)
~ Tiramisu (yeah)

Crispy Peking duck ^^ Smile Jan 03, 2014

Around RM 100 or less a whole duck is enough for three or four people. They arrived to the table separately on a rolling trolley so as the duck is deboned and carved in a very specific manner in front of us. Crispy skin with little meat attached to it for mini burrito in cylindrical shape. Its accompaniments were crepe-like pancakes, hoi sin or plum sauce, scallions and thinly-sliced celery or cucumber. It’s up to you to put the final product together but hey this all done by the sifu here and we just enjoy. It would be perfect if the mini burrito made could be more moisture with just the right amount of sauce or fat to flavor.

As recommended, the remaining meat is chopped to small cube shape then stir-fried with some fresh vegetables and pickles before being served with fresh lettuce also in a mini taco wrapped version. This round we had to become the sifu in making the mini taco ourselves. Nyum nyum.

Burger @ Juro OK Jan 02, 2014
Categories : Italian | German | Restaurant | Pizza/Pasta | Seafood

Not to order pork dish in a pork-serving western cuisine restaurant which specialised in pork with an extensive menu ? It just a matter of choice and preference.

Set lunch of grilled chicken burger came with very moist and tender chicken meat if not mistaken is chicken thigh. Still for burger, I would prefer the meat a bit burn or crispier for the aroma. Not bad at least a healthier choice. Not to forget passion fruit punch which included in the set. Thumbs up as it is unexpected for the drinks to be so delicious. Could I request to up-size the passion fruit punch ? I don't mind paying more for it. Elsewhere their drinks come in the set usually diluted. Definitely will come back for more smile
